????Top 10 Must-Do Things in Puerto Vallarta:
1. Jorullo Bridge—the longest suspension bridge in Latin America. To walk across the bridge they charge $15. Cross over Jorullo Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in the world is over 470 meters long and 150 meters above the River Cuale.
2.Marietas Islands, snorkel and hidden beach. The Marieta Islands had no human residents. The Hidden Beach is a private oasis of crystal blue waters and white sand, tucked inside a lush, tropical island. An hour northwest of Puerto Vallarta and only fifteen minutes from Punta Mita, Nayarit. Is a great place to spot marine wildlife like dolphins, manta rays, turtles, and even humpback whales during winter.
3. Mirador de La Cruz is a hike. A spectacular 360° panoramic view of the city, the Pacific Ocean, and the Bay of Banderas. 15-20 minutes from the popular tourist spot, the Malecon.
4.Palo Maria waterfalls. This stunning and secluded natural wonder is a must-see for any nature lover visiting the area. The waterfall is located in the Sierra Madre Mountains. You must be a truly skilled hiker and be prepared to climb slippery rocks along the rope attached to the rocks. Good water hiking shoes are recommended.
5.Malecon. In addition to the churches, museums, and historical landmarks that line El Malecon, the Esplanade is best known among tourists for its iconic street art and sculptures.
6.Turtle Release. Every year, from August to December, thousands of animal enthusiasts and curious travelers come to the shores of Puerto Vallarta to bear witness to and participate in the San Pancho turtle release.
7. Mismaloya Beach. A very popular beach with a nice sand and water. Puerto Vallarta from a fishing village, that nobody knew about, into a striking and picturesque Mexican destination and eventually into the world-famous tropical destination that it is today. The village's history is certainly tied to the 1963 filming ????????️of The Night of the Iguana by renowned American filmmaker John Huston.
8.Yelapa Falls. A tiny fishing village, along the Pacific coastline, that’s only accessible by boat. In this remote town located an hour south of Puerto Vallarta, you’ll find a pristine beach surrounded by lush jungle, colorful homes, and two breathtaking waterfalls.
9.The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The Church, built between 1930 and 1940, was constructed on the original foundations of a chapel initially dedicated to Lady Guadalupe in 1901.
10.Los Arcos de Mismaloya. The best place for the Snorkeling and scuba diving. The beautiful Los Arcos National Marine Park is located out at sea between two beaches, Mismaloya beach, and Las Gemelas. At the park, you’ll find caves, deep tunnels, arches, and a striking reef. The islets and below are home to many types of wildlife, from birds to sea turtles.
