Lawapani Fall | Lohardaga | Jharkhand Tour 2021 | 4K
Lavapani Waterfall is one of the most important tourist place of Lohardaga District. This waterfall situated at Madanpur village of Peshrar Block. This is also traced as one of the best Picnic spot in the district. Here water flows on the seven steps downwards. Which is located at a distance of 52 km from the district headquarter. District headquarter can be reached via Karakrang, Lavasa road via Pesharar.
The height of the Lawapani waterfall is approx 110 ft.
Best time to visit Lawapani Waterfall
The waterfall is at its all-time best in the rainy months of July and August. However, the ideal time to visit for a picnic is during the winter months of November to January.

Lawpani waterfall Lohardaga also known as Lawapani Lohardaga is one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Jharkhand. Lohardaga Lavapani is one of the most visited tourist place of Lohardaga district in Jharkhand. Lavapani jal prapat is situated near Madanpur village in Peshrar Block of Lohardaga district of Jharkhand. Located amidst jungle, Lavapani is surrounded by lush green trees like Saal, Mangoes, Mahua and many more.
Lohardaga to Lawapani distance is about 52 KM.
Ranchi to Lawapani distance is about 105 KM.
Gumla to Lawapani distance is about 84 KM. Nearest Railway Station to Lavapani is Lohardaga Railway Station. Lohardaga railway station is connected to the Tori station of the Latehar district and state capital Ranchi.

लोहरदगा जिला झारखंड के 24 जिलों में से एक है . लोहरदगा जिला का नाम लोहरदगा शहर के नाम पर रखा गया था लोहरदगा जिला का निर्माण 1983 ईस्वी में किया गया था। जब रांची जिला को तीन ज़िलों, रांची, गुमला और लोहरदगा में विभाजित किया गया था। इतिहास में यदि हम और पीछे जाएं तो हम देखेंगे कि 1972 ईस्वी में लोहरदगा अनुमंडल हुआ करता था।
लोहरदगा का उल्लेख जैन पुराणों में भी मिलता है। जिसके अनुसार भगवान महावीर अपनी यात्रा के दौरान लोहरदगा में भी पड़ाव किया था। सम्राट अकबर पर लिखी गई किताब आइन - ए -अकबरी में भी किस्मत ए लोहरदगा का उल्लेख मिलता है।
रांची, गुमला और लातेहार इसके पड़ोसी जिले हैं। लोहरदगा की मुख्य नदियां हैं- कोयल, शंख, नंदनी नदी, चौपाट नदी और फुली झर नदी।
लोहरदगा जिला में एक अनुमंडल है- लोहरदगा। लोहरदगा जिला में 7 प्रखंड है- भंडरा, किस्को, सेन्हा, कूड़ु, कैरो,पेशरार और लोहरदगा।
कुँड़ुख़ सादरी, उर्दू एवं हिंदी भाषा यहां की मुख्य भाषाएं हैं। इसके अलावा असूरी और मुंडा भाषा भी बोली जाती है।

A Travelogue on McCluskieganj - A sleepy hamlet under the shades of Sal and Mahua forests, located on top of Chotonagpur Plateau in Jharkhand, amid serene nature, mixed with some old era nostalgia. This was the favourite place of famous Bengali writer Buddhadeb Guha. Once an Anglo Indian settlement, it was often referred as the ‘Mini London of Chotonagpur’. Hidden from the outer world, the place came to limelight among Bengali tourists through the novels penned by Buddhadeb Guha. McCluskieganj was once developed as a colony for Anglo Indians. Once upon a time during British era, a property dealer from Kolkata, Earnest Timothy McCluskie, acquired around 10000 acres of land in this hilly and forested area of Chhotonagpur plateau, from the Maharaja of Ratu, and founded the township. From 1933 the Anglo Indians started to live in this place, which was named as ‘McCluskieganj’. Gradually it came up as the first Anglo Indian colony in India. They often used to call this place as ‘The Gaunj’. Later, in post Independence period, the Anglo Indian families started to leave McCluskieganj and shifted to countries like England, Scotland and Australia for better fortune. The glamour of McCluskieganj started to fade away. At present only 2-3 Anglo Indian families are left at McCluskieganj. However, the forests and the purity of nature still remain at this place. Today the Bungalows of that time, many of these are abandoned, standing under the cover of forests, tell the stories of that time silently.
How to go:
Reach Ranchi by train from Howrah. From Ranchi its 65km (2 hrs drive) to McCluskieganj. Car fare - 2000-2200.
Alternatively by the only direct train Shaktipunj Exp, from Howrah to Khiladi station (8km from McCluskieganj). However, the train reaches there at quite late in the evening (at around 9-30 PM).

Lavapani Waterfall is a popular tourist destination in the Lohardaga District. This waterfall is located in Peshrar Block’s Madanpur village. Nandlal Farm located in the Senha police station area of the district has been attracting the residents of the district for centuries. This is the reason why people prefer to celebrate New Year with their families at Nandlal Farms. At present, tourist places like Lavapani Falls, Number 27 Railway Bridge, Dhardhariya, Nandini Reservoir etc. are attracting people in the district. A small #village on the map of #India - #Duli - in McCluskieganj is #famous for its #Sarva #Dharma #Sthal. Yes, we got it right. On this huge piece of land stands a #historic #Radha #Krishan #temple, a #mosque, an open plot where you can see a wooden #Cross and an incomplete structure for #Gurudwara. What more an example of #Unity in #diversity!! #Travel here and #feel at #bliss. It is worth #watching all 4 historic #structures stand #close by each other. #History says the #Britishers before they left #India started the construction and it is still the same.
Our next spot in Duli was #Sita #Kund. It has its own history. They believe Sita maa used to #bathe here in this #pond and the #waters in it is as #fresh as #spring.
