When doing research in front of a visit, the Internet is flooded with annoying web sites selling packages, trips and guided tours. If you are like us and just want an overview, and then select for yourself what to visit, we hope our videos are useful. We will of course not cover all attractions and we are not local experts with inside information, but we try to give our users some tips. Visit Kristiansand (Norway) คริสเตียนซานด์ นอร์เวย์
We visit Kristiansand in springtime, a beautiful small city by the sea in southern Norway. Staying at a hotel near the Cathedral in the middle of Kvadraturen, where the Old Town is located, we go sightseeing on foot. We are fascinated by an astonishingly artistic mural, and we walk along the waterfront to see the boat-life, the swans, ducks and loud seagulls, as well as Christiansholm Fortress and The Fish Quay (with its famous restaurant Bølgen & Moi, see thumbnail). We also stroll through The Old Town, and we take a longer, very peaceful walk to the peninsula Odderøya, with its lovely scenery and cultural heritage (military fortifications from world war II). Finally we visit Baneheia and Ravnedalen Nature Park, where we get a glimpse of a shy deer and a (small) bird eyes view of the city center. This park and forest area is famous for the Baneheia Murders,
which took place back in year 2000. However, on 15. December 2022 Viggo Kristiansen was acquitted after serving 21 years in prison for two murders, and on 24 March 2022 the Attorney General requested that the case against Jan Helge Andersen be reopened., see:

# 6 - CRUISING AROUND SOUTHERN TIP OF NORWAY, Lillesand - Kristiansand
Final leg on this years wonderful cruise through an area one never
gets tired of. I have travelled wide and far and can say it is a fantastic coastline, it is peaceful and safe. A rescue-cutter is never far away as long as you have a VHF that works! The video is quite detailed, purposely, I want to remember this myself.
Next years journey will be a very special one. Gota-canal from Gothenburg towards Aland-islands (Finland). The archipelago on the east coast of Sweden is also unique cruising area, perhaps even more beautiful. We will find out !

Situated on the south coast of Norway, Kristiansand hosts charming small towns and a coastline dotted with tiny rocky islands and skerries. This movie includes the protected Blindleia shoreline, picturesque white-painted houses in sheltered inlet, lush green forests and rugged mountains, Tømmerstø, a maritime centre in a pretty setting, and the scenic landscapes of green fields, hills and coves towards Lillesand, a lovely little town on the waterfront which is famous for its summer floral displays.
