The Netherlands , informally Holland, is a country located in Western Europe with overseas territories in the Caribbean. Vlaardingen is een stad in Zuid-Holland in Nederland. Het is gelegen op de noordelijke oever van de Nieuwe Maas aan de samenvloeiing met de Oude Maas. De gemeente beheert een oppervlakte van 26,69 km2 (10,31 sq mi), waarvan 23,57 km2 (9,10 sq mi) land is, met 72.404 inwoners in 2019. De stad is verdeeld in een noordelijke (plaatselijk bekend als de Heilige) en een zuidelijk deel door de snelweg A20. Aan de oostkant wordt de stad gescheiden van Schiedam door de snelweg A4. Andere plaatsen in de buurt zijn Maassluis in het westen, Schipluiden en Delft in het noorden, Schiedam en Rotterdam in het oosten en Spijkenisse in het zuidwesten, aan de andere kant van de Nieuwe Maas. De A20 verbindt Rotterdam met Hoek van Holland. De Beneluxtunnel (de tunnel die onder de Nieuwe Waterweg doorloopt) verbindt de A20 met de A15. Het centrum van de stad ligt aan de westkant van de oude haven, die oorspronkelijk een beek ('De Vlaarding') is van de veengebieden ten noorden en oosten van de stad, die naar de Maasmond loopt.
Vlaardingen is a city in South Holland in the Netherlands. It is located on the north bank of the Nieuwe Maas river at the confluence with the Oude Maas. The municipality administers an area of 26.69 km2 (10.31 sq mi), of which 23.57 km2 (9.10 sq mi) is land, with 72,404 residents in 2019. The city is divided into a northern (locally known as the Holy) and a southern part by the A20 motorway. On the east the city is separated from Schiedam by the A4 motorway. Other places nearby are Maassluis to the west, Schipluiden and Delft to the north, Schiedam and Rotterdam to the east and Spijkenisse in the south-west, on the other side of the Nieuwe Maas. The A20 connects Rotterdam to Hook of Holland. The Beneluxtunnel (the tunnel that runs under the Nieuwe Waterweg) connects the A20 to the A15. The centre of the town is on the west side of the old harbour, which is originally a stream ('De Vlaarding') from the peat lands north and east of the town, running to the Meuse estuary.

Ameide - Vanuit een andere zijde gezien door Tine de Jong
Nl/ Eng /Een gezellig bezoek aan #Ameide, stad met een mooi verleden. Het is hier erg mooi, vooral rond de stadskern. Ameide (Alblasserwaards: Termei) is een stadje en voormalige gemeente in de gemeente Zederik. Het ligt in het noordoosten van de Alblasserwaard. Dit mooie stadje is echt ook een aanrader voor jou om eens te gaan bezoeken. Vroeger hoorde dit bij de provincie Zuid/Holland maar door een fusie valt het nu onder Provincie Utrecht- Vijfheerenlanden. Dat was vast voor de bewoners ook wel even wennen. Deze wandeling deed ik samen met een wandelvriendin. We hebbeb hier wat rond gewandeld en deel graag onze wandeling met jou als bezoeker of volger van mijn kanaal.

Ameide (Alblasserwaards: Termei) is a town and former municipality in the municipality of Zederik. It is located in the northeastern part of the Alblasserwaard.
