HOW TO SPEND ONE DAY IN PRAGUE CZECHIA (BEST PRAGUE ATTRACTIONS)

Wondering how to spend one day in Prague Czechia? In our Prague travel vlog, we include the best Prague attractions.

The first stop on our Prague City Tour was at Wencelas Square. The square is named after the patron saint of Bohemia, Saint Wencelas. After wandering around Wencelas Square, we made our way to Lucerna Palace.

Lucerna Palace is an entertainment complex that has a famous David Černý statue called Kůň. You can’t miss the upside down horse statue after entering the palace. The palace also has a paternoster lift. This is a passenger elevator that runs on a loop without stopping. After the elevator, we made our way to a rotating statue.

The Franz Kafka Rotating Head is another of David Černý’s sculptures. Franz Kafka was a famous Czech author. Another sculpture to not miss in Prague is Sigmund Freud hängende Figur. This is a statue of Freud hanging from a pole above the street.

Prague’s Old Town Square was our next stop. The things to check out in Prague’s famous square is the Prague Astronomical Clock and the Church of Our Lady Before Týn. The clock puts on a show every hour.

A trip to Prague isn’t complete without crossing the Charles Bridge. This medieval bridge connects the Prague Castle and Old Town. There are statues, vendors, and tons of tourists along the iconic bridge.

After crossing Charles Bridge, we came across Devil’s Stream. This picturesque artificial channel is worthy of a quick stop. Next we were on a mission to find Prague’s narrowest street. This street is so narrow that it has its only traffic light.

Because we are both huge Beatles fans, we had to see the Lennon Wall. The wall is filled with graffiti of poems, song lyrics, and quotes.

The last stop of our Prague city tour was at Prague Castle. The Prague Castle is the largest castle complex in the world. The complex has palaces, churches, and gardens.

4k Czech Republic Prague - The best view of the city from Letna Park HDR ASMR

Today, in our video 4k Czech Republic Prague, we will visit Letna Park, where we enjoy the best view of the city!

Letná Park (Letenské sady) is a large park on Letná hill, built on a plateau above steep embankments along the Vltava River in Prague, Czech Republic. Letná's elevation and location afford commanding views of the Prague Old Town (Staré Město). Leten, originally called summer camp or place to sunbathe, gained its importance in the Middle Ages, when the first military camps were located there due to their strategic location. The areas were mainly vineyards and gardens. It was not until the end of the 19th century that it began to be systematically colonized. Over time, the plains of this city area became a place of meeting, entertainment, and recreation.

12:30
In 1955, a large monument to Joseph Stalin was erected at the edge of Letná Park. This statue was destroyed in 1962, and the Prague Metronome now occupies the site. The area around the Metronome is a popular skateboarding location. The Metronome is a 75-foot-tall (23 m) functioning Metronome in Letná Park, overlooking the Vltava River and the city center of Prague. It was erected in 1991 on the plinth left vacant by the demolition in 1962 of an enormous monument to former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. International artist Vratislav Novak designed the Metronome. It may be the largest Metronome in the world.
A plaque at the base of the Prague metronome reads, In time, all things pass...'. The Metronome beats at four beats per minute.
During the Velvet Revolution, a plain next to the Letná Park (Letenská pláň) was the site of some important demonstrations against the Communist government. On the 25th and 26 November 1989, approximately 750,000 people protested here.
Singer Michael Jackson kicked off his HIStory World Tour at the park on 7 September 1996; approximately 130,000 people attended the concert.
On 23 June 2019, more than 250,000 people gathered on the Letná plain, calling on Prime Minister Andrej Babiš to resign amid allegations of conflict of interest and criminal fraud.

17:30 The popular lookout restaurant Hanavsky pavilion in Letenske sady boasts one of the most beautiful views of Prague's bridges over the Vltava River.
The building of the Hanavsky Pavilion (Hanau's Pavilion) has an exciting history. It was built on the occasion of the Jubilee Czech Exhibition in 1891 in Prague district Holesovice to represent Komarov Ironworks. It was the first cast-iron building in Prague, cast iron, concrete, and glass. The forge owner, Prince Vilem Hanavsky, after whom the pavilion bears his name, donated it to the city. When the exhibition ended, the pavilion was completely dismantled and moved to Letenske sady (Letna Gardens).
The pavilion in the Neo-Baroque style designed by Otto Hercik is an artistic and technical monument. The entrance to the pavilion via a two-armed staircase richly decorated with artistically wrought iron railings is genuinely magnificent. The same feeling you'll get from the pavilion's interior, which is dominated by a wide decorative pillar in the middle. In 1967, the Hanavsky Pavilion underwent extensive reconstruction, which affected the very structural elements of the building and was followed by other restoration work in 1987. The Hanavsky Pavilion is now a beautiful dominant of Letenske sady right next to Kramar's villa, the Czech prime minister's official residence. If you want to enjoy a unique view of Prague bridges, you can either head to the restaurant's terrace or enjoy the lookout point under the terrace. When looking against the flow of the Vltava River, we see the Manes Bridge in the foreground, Charles Bridge behind it, and then in the distance the Legion Bridge, Jirasek Bridge, and Palacky Bridge. The Old Town is directly in front of us with the dominant Tyn Church on the Old Town Square. Newer high-rise buildings on Prague's Pankrac rise on the horizon and, perhaps on every view in Prague, the Zizkov Television Tower.

The place offers the best view of the city and sunset!

The city of Malá Strana was founded under Prague Castle on the territory of an older market settlement, at the edge of which, near the single Vltava bridge, there were two permanent settlements from the mid-12th century: the fortified place of the Johannites (1169) and opposite it the bishop's palace (1185). Here, between the Castle and these enclaves by the river , a square square was laid out in the medieval manner, from which streets led to all directions: to Újezdská gate in Karmelitská, to Strahovská brána in Nerudov, and to Písecká in Valdštejnská street.

As in most squares, there used to be a market place from long ago . It existed here even before the founding of Prague, when there was no bridge over the river, but rather in the places of today's upper part of Malostranské náměstí or Sněmovní street. During the early Gothic era, the square already occupied its current location and area, and its center was built up. Shops stood here , the Romanesque church of St. Wenceslas , the rectory, the town hall , in the center of the square there were also meat shops, goldsmiths, blacksmiths and seamstresses settled here. Later, the church of St. Nicholas , professional house, Jesuit college, under Rudolf II. also the first department store in Prague  - at No. 4, and other buildings that have been preserved to this day and divide the square into two halves - lower and upper. The houses surrounding the square mostly belonged to the richest Malostran townspeople and nobility, which built luxurious residences here, under Prague Castle.

Malostranske Square
The square with a number of historic houses and palaces consists of two parts, which are united by the dominant of the entire square - the church of St. Nikolay. This is one of the most attractive tourist places in Prague, which is part of the Royal Route. Since 2016, it has been used to organize meetings, exhibitions or shows.

Czechia 4k Prague walking tour: Na Příkopě - Wenceslas Square - Národní -Vltava ???????? HDR ASMR

Today we will start our Czechia 4k Prague walking tour on Na příkopě street, then visit Wenceslas Square, Národní street, and finally see the best view of Prague Castle from Vltava river.

00:00 Na prikope (Na Příkopě) is a street in the center of Prague, Czech Republic, connecting Wenceslas Square with Republic Square.
It separates the Old Town from the New Town. It is a place of representative buildings, including the headquarters of the Czech National Bank, old palaces, and luxurious shops.
Na Příkopě street leads on the site of former 10-meter-wide and 8-meter-deep moat from 1234, which led along the medieval walls of the Old Town. Water flowed directly from the Vltava river, and when the moat was filled, the Old Town formed a closed island. The moat was covered in 1760. After wrapping, chestnut trees were planted here, and the street was named Ve starých alejích (In old alleys). In 1845-70 the street was named Kolowratská třída and since 1871 bears the name Na Příkopě.
Because it was one of the few vast streets in Prague, it soon became a traffic artery. Since 1875, the first line of the Prague horse-drawn tram has been lead here, electrified since 1899. In 1919, Můstek became the first intersection in Prague controlled by a traffic policeman. In 1927, then the second intersection with the light signaling.
On the street appeared many new stores, and it became an important business center of Prague's promenade.

07:00 Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí)
This Square is the commercial and administrative center of the city as well as the site of important social and historical events. Here you'll find cinemas, theatres, banks, hotels, restaurants, dozens of small and large shops, and administrative centers. The Square was created during the founding of the New Town by Charles IV in 1348. Today it is dominated by the National Museum (1885 – 1891) and Josef Václav Myslbek's statue of the national patron St Wenceslas from 1912.

08:30 Národní, formerly Národní třída, is one of the critical avenues in Prague, Czech Republic. It is placed on the boundary of New Town and Old Town, in the southwest direction from the city's center. This avenue connects Legion Bridge bridge with Jungmannovo náměstí. In medieval times, there were fortification walls. On Friday, 17 November 1989, riot police violently suppressed a peaceful student demonstration, which is thought of as the initiation of the Velvet Revolution. Národní třída continued to be an eventful locale during the rest of the revolution.

Prague Vyšehrad walk 4k HDR - Beautiful park with great views - Vltava - Czech Republic ????????ASMR

This time we will take a walk along Vysehrad! Local legend holds that Vyšehrad was the location of the first settlement, which later became Prague. We will see a beautiful park with great views, an old cemetery by the old church.

Vyšehrad is a historic fort in Prague, Czech Republic, just over 3 km southeast of Prague Castle, on the east bank of the Vltava River. It was probably built in the 10th century. Inside the fort is the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul and the Vyšehrad Cemetery, containing the remains of many famous Czechs, such as Antonín Dvořák, Bedřich Smetana, Karel Čapek, and Alphonse Mucha. It also includes Prague's oldest Rotunda of St. Martin, from the 11th century.

4K Czech Republic walk: Prague at Sunset, Vinohrady, Rieger Gardens, Main railway station ????????HDR ASMR

Today, on our walk, we will visit the Rieger Gardens, located in the Vinohrady district of Prague. From there you have a fantastic view of the city, and many people love to come here at sunset! At the end of the walk, I will show you the Prague Main railway station from an interesting angle.

Our new channel:

Vinohrady (Royal Vineyards) is a cadastral district in Prague. It is so named because it was once covered in vineyards dating from the 14th century. Vinohrady lies in the municipal and administrative districts of Prague 2 (west part), Prague 3 (north-east part) and Prague 10 (south-east part), minor parts also of Prague 1 (Prague State Opera and Federal Assembly of Czechoslovakia), and Prague 4 (near Nusle).
Between 1788–1867 it was called Viničné Hory (Vineyard Mountains). From 1867 to 1968, it was called Královské Vinohrady (Royal Vineyards). In 1875, Královské Vinohrady was divided into two parts, Královské Vinohrady I and Královské Vinohrady II, the part I was renamed to Žižkov and the part II to Královské Vinohrady in 1877. In 1922 Královské Vinohrady was made part of Prague as district XII. In 1949, the west part was conjoined with Prague 2, and the east part remained a separate district, Prague 12. In 1960, when the Prague division was reduced from 16 to 10 administrative districts, the north part of Prague 12 was conjoined with Žižkov into Prague 3, and the south part was joined to Prague 10. Local patriots say that the real reason was that Královské Vinohrady was known as a bourgeois district and thus politically unreliable for the then-ruling Communist Party of Czechoslovakia.

Rieger Gardens (Riegrovy sady) is a park, over a century old shelters intimate nooks and places with wooded areas, open grassy areas, and impressive city vistas. Vineyards used to be located here. Today, all that remains are parts of the original buildings: the Classicist lookout from the 1920s, renovated into a restaurant, and a three-sided sandstone obelisk from around 1840.

Prague Main Railway Station (Praha hlavní nádraží) is
The largest passenger railway station in the Czech Republic and Prague's most crucial railway station. The historic building and the hall above the railway yard are among the most significant Art Nouveau monuments in the Czech Republic. Many shops and food establishments will make waiting for your connection more pleasant. Occasional-themed exhibitions are held in the check-in hall. It opened in 1871 as Franz Josef Station, after Franz Joseph I of Austria. During the First Republic and from 1945 to 1948, the station was called Wilson Station (Czech: Wilsonovo nádraží), after the former President of the United States, Woodrow Wilson.
In 2014, the station served 224,505 trains (610 daily) and more than 53,000,000 passengers.
