Stavropol is a city in southwestern Russia. The central Stavropol State Museum-Reserve includes exhibitions on archaeology, paleontology and Russian history.
Works at the nearby Stavropol Regional Museum of Fine Arts include religious icons and sculpture. To the west, the Stavropol Botanical Garden has water lilies and tree-lined paths. Vast Pobedy Park, or Victory Park, features rides, plus old planes and tanks.

Pyatigorsk: Sunny City Among Mountains. Caucasus Road Trip in Russia
Welcome to Pyatigorsk! In this episode of the film about my road trip to the Caucasus, we're going to explore the resort city of Pyatigorsk. The city where there are more sunny days in the year than anywhere else! Pyatigorsk is the second most populous city in the Stavropol region, one of the oldest balneological resorts in Russia and a place with which the last years of M. Lermontov's life are inseparably connected. With its numerous mineral springs and mud deposits compactly spread over a relatively small area Pyatigorsk is quite capable of putting pressure on the leading resorts of the Czech Republic and Germany. However, it is good not only for health, but also as a new interesting route in the tourist collection inveterate traveler. Located at the foot of Mashuk Mountain, sunk in picturesque groves and entangled serpentine terrenekur, this picturesque piece of the Northern Caucasus is always welcome guests regardless of their nationality and social status. And what restrictions can there be in the city, where all natural riches, be it mineral water, therapeutic Tambukan silt or the cleanest mountain air, are free for everybody! Enjoy the tour!

Wreck Diving - MS Mikhail Lermontov - Dean's Dinner Run
In February 1986 a bad call by a New Zealand pilot caused the Russian cruise liner MS Mikhail Lermontov to sink in the Marlborough Sounds to a depth of 37m. All of the 743 passengers survived, but sadly one of the 348 crew lost his life.
In February 2011 enthusiastic wreck diver Dean found a Sherry glass on the wreck and borrowed it. This is the story of him returning the glass for other divers to find and enjoy.
KISLOVODSK THE CITY OF CURE
Kislovodsk is a spa city in Stavropol Krai, Russia, in the North Caucasus region of Russia which is located between the Black and Caspian Seas.
This pleasant spa town has been a popular destination for Russian holidaymakers since the early 19th century when the Romantic writers Mikhail Lermontov and Alexander Pushkin spent time in its verdant parks and rugged countryside.
The name means ‘Sour Waters’, but Kislovodsk has a decidedly sweet vibe. Despite the many tourists and sanatoriums scattered about, Kislovodsk remains relaxing to the core. The landscape is green, the many gardens well-manicured, and the air, at nearly 1km above sea level, is crisp.
Pyatigorsk through my eyes: streets, people
The city of Pyatigorsk was the most popular resort in the Russian Empire (During Stalin's time, the city of Sochi became the country's main resort).
Despite this, many people still come to Pyatigorsk to improve their health because the city abounds in numerous mineral springs.
This city has a rich history. Many buildings of the 19th century have been preserved in Pyatigorsk. Many works of Russian literature are dedicated to this city. The great Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov visited and died here.
Currently, the city is home to about 148 thousand people. Most of the inhabitants are Russians, but there are also many Armenians, who mainly settled in these places as the Slavs settled. Many Armenians moved to the vicinity of the city in 1915 from the territory of the former Ottoman Empire.

Что касается Торжка: идеальное расположение на главной туристической дороге страны, десятки памятников архитектуры, сильная кулинарная идентичность — именно тут придумали пожарские котлеты! Нет у Торжка только одного — хозяина. У Пятигорская тоже огромный туристический потенциал: дома, Лермонтовская галерея, кофейня Гукасова — зданиям повезло, что нет денег на «реставрацию».

Даже имя ему новое дали. В честь писателя. Лермонтовский водопад.
А когда сюда приходил Лермонтов, конечно, он ещё не был достопримечательностью, и вообще назывался иначе.
Раньше он назывался Ольховским. В честь речки Ольховки, на которой расположен.
Лермонтовский водопад является памятником природы регионального значения.
Высота его невелика, метра 3 от силы.
