Goslar stand nie weit oben auf meiner Liste an Städten in Deutschland, die ich unbedingt mal gesehen haben muss. Umso mehr war ich überaus positiv überrascht als ich mir im Juni 2020 auf einem Harz Roadtrip die besten Goslar Sehenswürdigkeiten angeschaut habe.
Genau diese Goslar Highlights stelle ich euch in diesem Goslar Vlog vor: die Altstadt/das Zentrum, die Kaiserpfalz, die Marktkirche und das rote Gildehaus auf dem Marktplatz.
Ich laufe durch die engen Gassen und schaue mir wunderschöne Fachwerkhäuser an, bewundere Goslar von oben und tauche zudem in die Goslar Geschichte ein. Habt ihr Lust mitzukommen?

In der Stadt Goslar am Harz residierten im Mittelalter die deutschen Könige und Kaiser. In der romantischen Altstadt der Kaiserstadt stehen fast 1500 Fachwerkhäuser. Hier gibt es hübsche Plätze, schöne Gassen und ein prächtiges Rathaus. Am Rand der Altstadt erheben sich auf einem Areal mit mehreren Gebäuden die Mauern der Kaiserpfalz. Das Kaiserhaus ist der größte Profanbau seiner Zeit. Die eindrucksvolle Kaiserpfalz ist ein kultureller Schatz. Goslar gehört übrigens zum UNESCO Weltkulturerbe.

Bergwerk Rammelsberg | Goslar im Harz | Tief im Berg drin
Das Bergwerk Rammelsberg bei Goslar im Harz ist seit 1988 ein Schaubergwerk und gehört zum Weltkulturerbe. In dem sehenswerten und großen Bergwerk wurden seit dem 9. Jahrhundert Buntmetalle (z.B. Silber) abgebaut. Die Stollen führen waagerecht in den Berg. Wir fahren mit einem kleinen Minenzug in den Berg, gehen durch Stollen und sehen, wie die Bergmänner hier arbeiten.

In Niedersachsen gibt es mehrere Orte, die von der UNESCO zum Weltkulturerbe ernannt wurden. Jeden Dienstag wollen wir daher in unserer neuen Serie diese besonderen Orte vorstellen. Im ersten Teil hat sich SAT.1-Reporter Olli Vollmering auf den Weg in den Harz gemacht, um sich dort die historische Altstadt von Goslar anzusehen. Ein bisschen mehr als 50.000 Einwohner hat Goslar heute. Und die Stadt ist uralt. Angefangen hat sie als kleines Dorf irgendwann um das Jahr 922 und feiert deshalb in zwei Jahren ihr 1.100-jähriges Bestehen.
Das erste, was einem bei Goslar einfällt und wo die Besucher in Scharen hingebracht werden, ist wahrscheinlich die Kaiserpfalz. Sie thront über der Stadt – auch schon seit über 900 Jahren. Unser Reporter hat außerdem herausgefunden, dass einige Straßen Goslars schon Kulissen für etliche Filme waren. George Clooney war sogar dort.
