It is 43.5 hectares in area, and it is one of the 4 most popular theme parks in Germany.

NEW in 2018: 5:48 - Lego Star Wars
Legoland Deutschland was opened on May 17, 2002 in Günzburg, Germany. The park opened nine months earlier than planned by Merlin Entertainments Group. On opening year, the park welcomed 1.35 Million visitors. All of the lighting for the park was done by Gallegos Lighting Design which had done the lighting for Legoland California Resort and the sound and video production for the park was done by Edward Technologies Inc. The park features Lego explore centers, roller coasters, water attractions and shows. When it opened in 2002, it contained 40 attractions, 7 themed lands and was made out of 50 million Lego bricks. 10 years later, the park expanded to eight “adventure worlds” with 50 attractions and 55 million Lego bricks. Legoland Deutschland is home to the world's largest Lego building, representing Munich's Allianz Arena and weighing 1.5 tons with dimensions of 5 meters in width and 1 meter in height. Legoland Deutschland also contains many other world records such as the largest Lego flower bed (2007), largest amount of energy generated through cycling underwater (2010), highest Lego tower (2010), largest Lego mosaic (2011), longest Lego millipede (2002), and the largest Lego brick (2005).

7. Modellbauausstellung Modell trifft Original Leipheim 2022
Zum ersten Mal seit 2019 fand im Fliegerhorstmuseum Leipheim wieder eine Modellbau-Ausstellung im gewohnten Rahmen statt. In Zeiten wie diesen echter Balsam für die Modellbauseele!
Es war wieder eine kleine, aber feine Ausstellung mit erstaunlich vielen Besuchern und auch einigen Händlern - eine Runde Sache also.
Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht meine Freunde und Fans dort zu treffen und sich über das Hobby auszutauschen. Vielen Dank an alle, die mich dort besucht haben!
Natürlich war auf dieser Ausstellung noch mehr geboten, als ich euch in diesem Video zeigen kann, aber alles zu photographieren und in ein Video einfließen zu lassen würde einfach den Rahmen sprengen.

For the first time since 2019 a model show could take place in the airfield museum Leipheim. In such times this is balm for the soul of a scale modeller!
It was a small, yet lovely exhibition with lots of visitors and a few vendors - a well rounded show all in all.
I enjoyed it a lot to meet my friends and fans there and talk with them about the hobby. Thank you very much to all, who visited me there!
Of course there was a lot to see at this show, more than i can show you in this video, but taking photos of everything and including it in this video would go beyond the scope of such a video.

Günzburg walking tour
Heute machen wir einen Spaziergang durch die Stadt Günzburg. Die Stadt Günzburg mit seinen knapp 20.000 Einwohnern bietet wesentlich mehr als nur das Legoland. Die fast vollständig erhaltene Altstadt ist umfassend saniert. In der Innenstadt läd der Marktplatz mit seiner bunten Häuserfassaden uns durch seine Restaurants und Cafes zum verweilen ein.
Wir starten unsere Tour an der Frauenkirche und laufen über den Frauenplatz. Vom Frauenplatz biegen wir ab ins Frauengäßchen und laufen bis zum Marktplatz. Am Marktplatz gehen wir hinunter bis zum Kuhturm wo unser heutiger Spaziergang endet.

Legoland Germany Rides and Review from our Family of 5!
The following video will highlight our fun-filled day at Legoland Germany. We give some of the top rides a whirl and share some feedback with you all about our day.
The rides that our kids were looking forward to the most was of course Ninjago Land and Rides, as well as the new Virtual Reality Roller Coaster ride.
We were also keen to check out Legoland Germany Star Wars mini-land as well.
Overall we really loved the family-focus that this theme park has. Baby changing rooms were available everywhere. Strollers were available to rent. There is a little baby shop where you can buy baby food and supplies if you run out.
They are also really great with adding in toddler-friendly play areas next to the popular 'big kids' rides as well. Which made my life a lot easier as I waited for the older kids to have some fun.

Ulm is a city in the south German state of Baden-Württemberg & one that we've had on our bucket list for quite some time! In the center of the historic old town is the huge Gothic Ulm Minster. Its steeple has views of the city and, in clear weather, the Alps! We didn't go up to the top due to construction, but the experience is highly recommended.
Germany is known for its half-timbered houses and Ulm has so many of them in the narrow alleys of the Fischerviertel. While here make sure to walk along the city wall next to the River Danube, and definitely try some Swabian food! :) It's a wonderful city and we now understand why everyone loves Ulm! :)

Neubau Wallstrassenbrücke und Tunnel Blaubeurer Tor - Bauablauf
Von 2023 bis 2030 erhält die B10-Achse in vielen Teilen ein neues Gesicht. Östlich des Blaubeurer Tors entsteht ein ca. 200 m langer Tunnel, der die Brücke über das Blaubeurer Tor ersetzen wird. Der Ringverkehr wird aufgelöst und zwei mit Ampeln signalisierte Kreuzungen entstehen. Die marode Wallstraßenbrücke wird durch eine neue, kürzere und schmalere Brücke über die Gleisanlagen der Deutschen Bahn ersetzt.
Nun steht das Team fest, dass die Generalplanung für die Umbaumaßnahmen übernehmen wird: Es handelt sich um eine INgenieurGEmeinschaft, (INGE) bestehend aus der Konstruktionsgruppe Bauen AG/Kempten und BuP - Boll Beraten und Planen Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG/Stuttgart und der Konstruktionsgruppe Bauen Augsburg GmbH/Neusäß. Heute (Montag, 8. Mai 2023) haben Baubürgermeister Tim von Winning und - stellvertretend für die INGE - Martin Seiter von der Konstruktionsgruppe Bauen den Generalplanervertrag unterschrieben.
Damit wird die INGE in einem ersten Schritt beauftragt, eine funktionale Leistungsbeschreibung zu erstellen, auf deren Basis nach einem geeigneten Baupartner gesucht wird. Dieser soll bis Mitte 2024 feststehen.
Erstmals in Baden-Württemberg soll ein Infrastrukturprojekt dieser Größe in einem partnerschaftlichen Verfahren realisiert werden. Das bedeutet, dass die Planer und das Bauunternehmen die Planungen für die Verkehrsanlagen, die Tunneltechnik, den Tunnelbau, den Brückenabbruch und den Ersatzneubau der Wallstraßenbrücke gemeinsam bis zur Umsetzungstiefe ausarbeiten werden. Das erspart Zeit und Kosten und garantiert, dass das Know-how der Baufirma frühzeitig eingebracht werden kann.
Wie schon berichtet, ist dieses Großbauprojekt auch fördertechnisch eine Besonderheit. Erstmals unterstützt das Land eine Kommune für ein Bauvorhaben mit einer Summe von fast 105 Millionen Euro. Die Stadt rechnet für die Umbaumaßnahmen rund um das Blaubeurer Tor mit einer Summe von knapp 200 Millionen Euro.
Voraussichtlicher Bauablauf:
Start der Baumaßnahmen ist noch im Herbst 2023, wenn die Entwässerungsanlagen des Tunnels hergestellt und die Leitungen im Baufeld verlegt werden. 2025 wird der Ringverkehr umgebaut und der Tunnelbau gestartet. Anfang 2026 wird die westlichen Hälfte der Wallstraßenbrücke abgebrochen und anschließend neu gebaut. Anschließend erfolgt 2027 der Abbruch der östlichen Brückenhälfte und deren Ersatzneubau. 2028 wird der Tunnel fertig sein und die Brücke über das Blaubeurer Tor verschwinden. 2029, so hoffen alle Beteiligten, geht dann die neue Wallstraßenbrücke in Betrieb.

Von Leipheim nach Günzburg - März 2022
Nach der Besichtigung von Leipheim wandern wir an der Donau nach Günzburg, das wir uns dann ebenfalls anschauen. Am Schluss besuchen wir noch das Heimatmuseum mit einer Eierausstellung.

Günzburg is located in Bavaria, close to Baden-Württemberg. Günzburg is the capital of the Landkreis (engl. district) Günzburg. Günzburg is a fast growing city with now almost 21.000 inhabitants. It's the most northern city in the district and that means you are pretty fast in the districts of Neu-Ulm, Dillingen an der Donau and Heidenheim an der Brenz. And the Danube is the River of the City.
The City is especially known for the Legoland Germany, which is very important for the tourism. Downside is, that many Restaurants only focus on Families and not on locals. But still come and visit our little and charming town in the wonderful Bavarian-Swabian Part of the World :)
