Efteling, also known as Dutch Disneyland is an amusement park based on old European fairytales! (think Brother's Grimm meets Disney!)
We've been to most of the Disney parks (10/12! - California, Florida, Paris, & Tokyo) so we're going to be giving some *very* honest opinions & comparisons on Efteling vs Disneyland!
We had some audio issues while getting to Tilburg and navigating transit. So here is how to get to Efteling by public transit! (Or at least how we did it!)
-We stayed in a nearby town called Tilburg and caught the 300 bus line at the main bus/train station. The bus terminal is just out of the central station - you wont miss it! Just get off at the Efteling stop and follow the crowd! :)

Ameland - 27 Kilometer Sandstrand | WDR Reisen
Mitten im niederländischen Wattenmeer liegt die Insel Ameland: An ihrem 27 Kilometer langen Sandstrand findet jeder Platz. Idyllisch sind die denkmalgeschützten Ortskerne der vier Dörfchen mit ihren Kapitänshäusern aus der Walfangzeit. Andrea Grießmann ist dabei, wenn das historische Pferderettungsboot zu Wasser gelassen wird, besucht einen Strandräuber und testet Senfsuppe und Cranberry Bier. Die Wattwanderung wird zur Mutprobe, der Blick vom Leuchtturm entschädigt für die 236 Stufen, und der Naturaufseher, mit dem Andrea Grießmann im Naturschutzgebiet Het Oer unterwegs ist, entpuppt sich als Künstler. Stolz sind die Ameländer auf ihre Vorreiterrolle in Sachen saubere Energie: Auf der Insel steht der größte Solarpark Hollands.
The island of Ameland can be found in the middle of the Dutch Wadden Sea: on its 27-kilometer-long (sandy) beach everyone finds their place. The town centers of the island’s four villages are listed for preservation and famous for their old captains’ houses from the old whaling times/seasons. Andrea Grießmann experiences the launch of the historic horse recuse boat, meets a beach robber and tries mustard soup and cranberry beer. The stunning view from the lighthouse compensates for its 236 steps up and the walk through the vast mudflats. Further on, Andrea goes on a trip to the nature reserve “Het Oer” and joins a nature warden who also turns out to be an artist. The people of Ameland are proud of their pioneering role on the field of clean energy: they have the Netherland’s largest solar park.

In the tenth century Zoetermeer was a small village primarily home to farmers and fishermen. In the 13th century a village center was formed, which still exists as the historic Dorpsstraat. Until the 17th century there was a lake called the Zoetermeer. A reminder of this is the Zoetermeerse Plas in the Noord Aa recreation area at the northern edge of town; this artificial lake was created when tons of sand were needed to lay the foundation for new housing development, and the area north of Zoetermeer was a good source of this resource.
Until 1935 the village centre was split into two villages, Zoetermeer and Zegwaard. The standard of living at the time was said to be higher in Zoetermeer than in Zegwaard[citation needed]. Seghwaert, an older way of spelling of Zegwaard, is now the name of a neighbourhood outside the old village centre.

At the end of our last travel film in Wales. I told the viewers that I was about to bury Sylw on Snowdon. I succeeded with the burial and headed towards Harwich to board a ferry alone with our 3 dogs to the Netherlands ???? ???????? ⛏
During my 1 week road trip around the Netherlands. I visited the famous windmills at Kinderdijk and Zaanse Schans. The bustling city of Rotterdam and its harbour. The historical city of Delft. The Hoge National Park and the magical Castle De Haar ????
Unfortunately, Sylw did manage to wiggle free from her burial and she will be back in our next travel film in her home country of Poland! ????????
