Oranienburg liegt im Süden des Landkreises Oberhavel im Verflechtungsraum zu Berlin und gehört zum Naturraum der Zehdenick-Spandauer Havelniederung. Das Stadtzentrum Berlins ist etwa 35 Kilometer entfernt. Oranienburg liegt an der Havel und dem Oder-Havel-Kanal.

In 1675, the Battle of Fehrbellin was fought there, in which the troops of Brandenburg-Prussia defeated those of the occupying Swedish Empire. In 1758 during the Seven Years' War Prussian and Swedish forces clashed at the Battle of Fehrbellin (1758). One of the most important skydiving dropzones of Germany is located at the local airport. By area, Fehrbellin is the second-largest rural municipality (Gemeinde) in Germany, trailing only Nuthe-Urstromtal. The Hakenberg Victory Column is a 36 metre tall monument with an observation deck at Hakenberg near Fehrbellin in Brandenburg, Germany. It was designed by Christian Daniel Rauch and built between 1875 and 1879. It commemorates the victory of Frederick William, Elector of Brandenburg, over the troops of occupying Sweden in the Battle of Fehrbellin (1675).
I am starting this walk at the Town Hall (Rathaus), then follow an simple route to the Evangelic Church of Fehrbellin. I will then drive towards the Hakenberg Victory Column where I end my walk.

In this video, I traveled to one of the northern German cities called Lübeck! Lübeck is a port city connected to the German North Sea! I took a train from Hanover to Lübeck, which took about three and a half hours! I started my walking tour from the train station, and then I passed through the bus terminal, a street and an intersection, and I reached a bridge that was over a river! Then I came to two lion statues in front of a big old salkhtman, which is the symbol of the city of Lübeck! I passed through the streets of the city, there were several churches on my way, I entered one of the churches and visited some paintings, stone coffins, candles, an old grand piano and some old photos of the church! Then I entered one of the main and very busy streets of the city and walked a little in a bazaar and visited the municipal building which had a very beautiful architecture and another twin church! Next, I went to a canal or harbor that was full of boats! I passed a bridge, there was a cafe bar by the port! I returned to the city center again! I saw some big old buildings with very interesting architecture, as well as some replicas of buildings that looked like castles on the way! Next, I crossed another bridge over the river, walked along the river, there was a small dock for boating, it was also full of cafes, bars and restaurants! In the end, I reached the beginning of the city and the same building that is the symbol of Lübeck! I already knew Lübeck because of Thomas Mann, the author of the novel Magic Mountain, whose hometown was in the north of Germany! It was a lovely sunny day and I enjoyed my walking tour of Lübeck, Germany!

Visiting Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp - E3 - Three Days in Berlin
Sachsenhausen concentration camp was a Nazi camp in the town of Oranienburg just outside of Berlin. It operated between 1936 and 1945, sadly 200,000 people were imprisoned there and 30,000 killed. On our last day in Germany we took a tour of what is now the Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum to learn more about the horrific crimes that took place there.

Hiking in Birkenwerder (Brandenburg, Germany) on a beautiful spring day. Birkenwerder is situated in the south of Oberhavel. The northern border of Berlin is 3 kilometres away. Birkenwerder shares his border with Oranienburg in the north, Mühlenbecker Land in the east and Hohen Neuendorf in the south and in the north. In the centre of Birkenwerder is the river Briese. In the west of Birkenwerder it empties in the River Havel. Briese and Lindenhof are districts (Wohnplätze [de]) of Birkenwerder. More than 50% of the area consists of forest. There are many forest roads, also along the river Briese. Birkenwerder is connected to the motorway A 10 (Bundesautobahn 10), the B 96 (Bundesstraße 96) and the B 96a which ends in the centre of Birkenwerder.
