Matosinhos Beach | Best Cheap Day Trip from Porto
THE BEST CHEAP DAY OUT IN PORTO is to take the 500 bus to Matosinhos beach. For €2 you get the best scenic tour bus ride in Porto, along the Douro river and Atlantic coastline out to Matosinhos beach.
Remember to sit at the front on top of the double decker bus for stunning views of the coast, even in November!
Matosinhos is renowned for its great beach and surf and for its abundance of great fish restaurants serving fresh seafood. We find the best value place in town and show you where it is.
After enjoying the beach we walk back to Porto via the attractive Parque da Ciudade. Rounding off the perfect day out from Porto, which cost us only €7 each for the whole day. Now that's a bargain!

PT/ Ecovia do rio Leça em construção mais de 70% pronta uma boa aposta do conselho de Matosinhos para caminhar e andar de bicicleta.
Comecei o caminho no Padrão de Moreira entrando pelo parque junto á Etar da Maia.
Termina na Ponte da Pedra, passando pela Ponte dos Ronfos, por baixo da Via Norte, traseiras da Lionesa e tambem pela traseira do Mosteiro de Leça do Balio, passa a Ponte e parque das Varas e termina na Ponte da Pedra. Tem uma extensão de 8 km mais ou menos.

I started the path in the Moreira Pattern entering the park next to Etar da Maia.
It ends at the Pedra Bridge, passing the Bridge of Ronfos, below the Via Norte, back of The Lionesa and also at the back of the Monastery of Leça do Balio, passes the Bridge and park of the Sticks and ends at the Stone Bridge. It's about five miles long.

Leça da Palmeira | O mar e a Terra | DJI Mini 3 Pro
Leça da Palmeira foi uma cidade que nasceu em torno de dois polos: o mar e a terra.
Integra, em conjunto com a freguesia de Matosinhos, a cidade de Matosinhos no Porto.
È conhecida pela Casa de Chá da Boa-Nova e das Piscinas das Marés (inauguradas em 1966), ambos declarados Monumentos Nacionais, que foram projetadas pelo arquiteto Matosinhense, Siza Vieira.
Leça da Palmeira tambem é conhecida pelas suas praias de vasta extensão de areia, ver o pôr do sol numa das praias é algo que nunca mais se esquece.
O farol, e a sua torre tem 46 metros de altura e 3,5 metros de diâmetro, sendo o segundo farol mais alto do país e o último a ser construído em Portugal Continental. Entrou em funcionamento em 15 de dezembro de 1926.
A 8 de julho de 1832, na praia junto a Arnosa do Pampelido, entre as freguesias de Perafita e de Lavra do concelho de Matosinhos, teve lugar um acontecimento que iria alterar decisivamente o curso da história e marcar o início do fim do absolutismo em Portugal.
Organizada a partir dos Açores uma esquadra comandada por D. Pedro IV com um exército de 7500 homens desembarca nesta praia com o objetivo de pôr instaurar no país um regime moderno e liberal. Assinalando o local do desembarque foi erguido um obelisco destinado a perpetuar a memória deste acontecimento. Estiveram presentes, ao lado da rainha D. Maria II no lançamento da sua primeira pedra a 1 de dezembro de 1840. Contudo seriam necessários 24 anos para se dar por concluído o obelisco, tendo sido proposta a sua classificação como monumento nacional em 1880.Foi restaurado em 2001.

Porto y sus playas / Verano 2020 / Leça de Palmeira / El segundo Faro más alto de Portugal????????
En nuestro segundo video de Porto y sus playas visitamos Leça de Palmeira, un lugar más tranquilo que Matosinhos porque ya por aquí no pasa el metro pero cuenta con los Autobuses #507 y #601
Esta zona es famosa por la piscina natural Das Marés que lamentablemente se encuentra todavía en restauración y por el Restaurante Casa del Té de Boa Nova para los amantes de la arquitectura y por supuesto el segundo Faro mas alto de Portugal que sin duda es el símbolo de esta pequeña región de Porto. Este Farol, como el de Aveiro, ofrece visitas a su cima todos los miércoles en la tarde aunque actualmente están suspendidas por el COVID-19.
