THAILAND: Chiang Mai Old City - Best things to do | day and night ????????

As the largest city in northern Thailand, Chiang Mai is a must for anyone traveling here for tourism. In this video, you'll discover Chang Mai's Old City, the walled city. It's exactly one square mile full of history, temples, and things to do. Better yet: I'll show you what to do in the Old City both during the day and at night. Get ready for the beautiful and impressive temples of Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh, and to enjoy the lively Sunday night market.

Chiang Mai was founded in 1296 and it's the capital of Chiang Mai Province in northern Thailand. The name means New City in Thai. That's because back then it became the new capital of the Lan Na kingdom (an ancient kingdom that existed in the area). The city was also very important historically. It's strategically located on the Ping River (a major tributary of the Chao Phraya River), and close to major trading routes.

► WHO AM I?

I am a Brazilian-American journalist living in Florida. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer. I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!

P.S.: The funny guy who appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and he's actually camera-shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time ????

WHY I LOVE BANGKOK: Hidden Gems Beyond the Khaosan Road | Travel Guide

Bangkok in 2020 is more than just the Khoasan Road. This is a travel guide covering all of the must see sights and hidden gems that you can't miss on your trip.

Over the 8 months, I've been to Bangkok on 6 separate visits and this video is a culmination of all of my favourite things to do: Including the best floating market, best rooftop bars, the most epic malls, an amazing luxury hotel and the most unique hipster hangouts. I've tried to avoid the main famous sights and focus on some lesser known places.

EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO (INCLUDING PRICES):
Use the time codes to skip to any area you are interested in.

0:00 - Why I think Bangkok is underrated
Looking at why a lot of people leave Bangkok with a bad impression and why you should avoid the famous Khoa San Road.

01:15 - Khlom Lat Mayom Floating Market
For my money, this is the best floating market in the city. It is also one of the best places to try delicious locally cooked Thai food.

SALT BAKED FISH PRICE: 240 BAHT
$7.49 USD / £5.80

02:07 - Chao Phraya River Tour
Bangkok’s waterways are full of local life and nature. The best way to see them is by taking the boat trip from the pier at the Khlom Lat Mayom market. It includes a stop at a Lotus farm.

GROUP BOAT TOUR PRICE (per person): 100 BAHT
$3.12 USD / £2.42 GBP

PRIVATE BOAT TOUR PRICE (whole boat): 400 BAHT
$12.48 USD / £9.67 GBP

03:29 - Bangkok’s Affordable Luxury Hotels
Bangkok has a lot of cheap accommodation options, but this is a look at the highest of luxury. Which is expensive, but more affordable than you might think…

RESIDENTIAL SUITE AT THE MARRIOTT SURAWONGSE: 6000 BAHT
$187 USD / £144 GBP

04:37 - Chatuchak Weekend Market
The biggest and the best market in Bangkok. Full of anything you could possibly need from clothes, to homeware, to souvenirs.

05:14 - The Camp Flea Market
A hidden gem very close to the Chatuchak Market that is very underrated. A hipster hangout with coffee shops, bars and antique shops.

06:11 - Rooftop Bars
A look at the Yao Rooftop bar at the Marriot Surawongse and the famous Skybar.

06:52 - Icon Siam Mall
The newest luxury mall with lots of designer brands and shopping. There is also an amazing food court in the basement with really good food options.

08:09 - Wat Arun Temple
A famous riverside temple.

WAT ARUN ENTRANCE FEE: 50 BAHT
$1.56 USD / £1.21 GBP

08:43 - Golden Mount Temple (Wat Saket)
Another of my favourite temples of the city with some amazing city views.

WAT SAKET ENTRANCE FEE: 50 BAHT
$1.56 USD / £1.21 GBP

09:15 - Ari
Bangkok’s coolest neighbourhood. Away from the tourists but with easily accessible luxuries. There are some great Airbnb options (which is a touchy subject in Thailand, so do your research into the law before booking)

AIRBNB IN BANG SUE PER NIGHT: 827 BAHT
$25 USD / £20 GBP

HUGE Chinatown Bangkok Street Food Tour - THAI STREET FOOD HEAVEN ON YAOWARAT ROAD BANGKOK THAILAND

Huge Chinatown Bangkok street food tour. Today we experienced Thai street food heaven on Yaowarat Road in Bangkok Thailand.

???? SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE FOOD ADVENTURES:
???? WATCH Extreme Thai Street Food in Bangkok:

We started our huge Chinatown Bangkok street food tour stopping into a local shop to try khao moo daeng moo grob. This super tasty plate of both bbq pork and crispy pork is covered in a garlicy and nutty sauce, right up our alley and the perfect start to our food tour in Bangkok's Chinatown.

We spent the day experiencing Thai street food heaven on Yaowarat Road Bangkok Thailand, wandering the streets and grabbing whatever food smelled and looked the best. From gui chai tod and pork floss, to the famous Jek Pui Curry for some incredible street food curry. This area of the city has some of the best street food in Bangkok.

As the day goes into night, Yaowarat Road comes alive with some incredible street food. The hawkers come out and the Bangkok street food scene comes alive. There are many popular Thai foods to choose from, we were spoiled for choice! We had to try the pa tong go, bua loy nam king, along with Deksomboon’s soy sauce ice cream, which was super unique!

We finished off our huge Chinatown Bangkok street food tour trying some insane looking Hong Kong fire noodles. These noodles were like Thai street food heaven, cooked with a good amount of wok hei to finish them off.

We hope you enjoy this huge Chinatown Bangkok street food tour trying out what makes Thai street food heaven, on Yaowarat Road Bangkok Thailand. With so many different foods to eat in Bangkok, Thailand, the variety of street food out there is just endless!

Bangkok, Thailand is the most visited city in the world, and in this series, I'll show you all about Bangkok: things to do, where to go, what you need to know, and even the scams in tourism. In this first video, you'll see Lumphini Park (or Lumpini), the beautiful Wat Saket temple (also known as Golden Mount/Golden Mountain), the Chao Phraya river and Icon Siam, a new and very unique mall.

Exploring Koh Yao Noi, THAILAND! | An AUTHENTIC experience on a THAI ISLAND | FARM TOUR

In this travel vlog we are exploring the beautiful Thai island of Koh Yao Noi! We start the day by enjoying a stunning sunrise and spending some time with our host family. Our host gave us a tour of the family farm. We loved the local experience and enjoyed learning about how they live sustainably. After we were showed around the farm we hopped on our scooter to go explore the island. We were able to see many beautiful beaches, the Holy Spring Water site, and get a real feel for the island. The BEST area of KOH PHANGAN | Thailand | MUST visit

Welcome to my vlog about our time in Koh Phangan, Thailand! This is the BEST area of the island and an absolute MUST visit! We started out our day at our hotel, where we got to take in the beautiful sunset from the pool. The next day, after a breakfast disaster with Dan’s toastie, we started our exploring. We spoke to some of the local birds who can actually talk, which was SO cool! After that, we headed to High Life restaurant, where we had drinks at their ‘birds nest’ table while taking in the views of Haad Yao beach. We then walked on the beach before getting some delicious Thai lunch while wildlife watching. Next, we visited Koh Raham restaurant, which is one of the coolest restaurants in Thailand. The restaurant overlooks the stunning sea and beaches, and we had a drink and a swim before checking out Secret beach. We ended our day on Zen beach, which is the perfect spot for some relaxation. It has a very hippy vibe with yoga, meditating and a beautiful sunset before we headed back to the hotel. If you’re in Koh Phangan, make sure to check out this amazing area! #KohPhangan #Thailand #haadyao #KohRahamRestaurant #SecretBeach #ZenBeach #MustVisit #Explore #TravelVlog

Chiang Mai, THAILAND: Doi Suthep and Nimman | Must see ????

Among the many things to do in Chiang Mai, Thailand, how about a view from high above? That's what you get at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a beautiful temple in the Doi Suthep mountain west of Chang Mai, popularly known as Doi Suthep as well. In this video, you'll learn everything you need to know to plan a trip there. We close the day in Nimmanhaemin, or simply Nimman. It's the digital nomad's neighborhood, where many expats in Thailand choose to live. From the Maya mall to a walk on the streets, discover why this area attracts so many foreigners.

Chiang Mai was founded in 1296 and it's the capital of Chiang Mai Province in northern Thailand. The name means New City in Thai. That's because back then it became the new capital of the Lanna kingdom.

???????? LES INCONTOURNABLES DE CHIANG MAI, TEMPLES, CASCADE, Vlog THAILANDE #11 ????????

Places to visit Lat Krabang. 747 Jumbo Jet Bangkok Cafe [4K-60]

Places to visit in Lat Krabang. 747 Jumbo Jet Bangkok Cafe

Afternoon trip to see the Old Thai Orient 747 Jumbo Jet now come coffee bar and restaurant. Well worth the journey from central Bangkok but the venue was very busy and left us a delay of over 40 minutes to be able to go inside the plane

History

Retired Boeing 747 gets second life as a Bangkok cafe

Missing those fuselage feels and craving on-board dining? Indulge both in Bangkok without fussing through security at an airplane-turned-cafe in the eastern outskirts.

Climb aboard a Boeing 747 that once belonged to a defunct former airline situated on 10 rai (1.6 hectares) in Bangkok’s Lat Krabang district at 747 Cafe, named after the plane’s model, a new destination for enthusiastic cafe-hopping completionists.

Pose in pilot or cabin crew uniforms for photos before sitting down to sip caffeinated drinks or fruit sodas.

The double-decker aircraft offers a dining area for customers to order drinks and baked goods to enjoy in windowside seats inside the stripped-down airframe. Patrons can also climb to the second level to look around the cockpit. There, one can even sit and pretend to be the captain. Feel better now?

The cafe was made possible by aviation nerds Bandit “Pilot Johnny” Lawanrattanakul and Nithiroj Chawalertwattanachai.

The plane formerly belonged to Orient Thai, whose budget carrier One-Two-Go crashed an MD-82 in Phuket in 2007, killing 87. It went out of business in 2018
