Well one of the main villages we frequent is Landstuhl. To most people this village is a staple in the local area, filled with bars, restaurants and stores.
There is a castle but that will be visited in another video!

One Week in Germany (Ramstein, Kaiserslautern, Frankfurt, Landstuhl, Heidelberg)
During a military training I had a little time to explore the area around US military bases in Germany!
Tips for travel in Germany:
HAVE CASH! Many places are not card friendly.
Bring a refillable water bottle. Water costs money at restaurants.
Or ask for TAP water.
Rent a small car, it is so much easier on the narrow roads. You'll have more options if you can drive stick.
Pack travel size shampoo, conditioner, etc. It may not be at your hotel.
Germans respect authority... follow the rules.
Bring a travel charger adapter!
Order a Radler :) it's a mix of beer and sprite and is delicious!

The Don'ts of Visiting Germany
1. Don't Assume German Are The Cold Stereotypes You Have Heard of Your Whole Life.
2. Don't Jaywalk, so follow the rules in Germany.
3. Don't Forget the Pfand or deposit that you may put down for beer mugs, bottles, cans and other things. You can get that money back.
4. Don't forget to bring flowers or a small gift when visiting a German's home. Also, don't wear your shoes inside their homes.
5. Don't be disrespectful at the Nazi concentration camps and memorials around the country.
6. Don't Wait: when at restaurants or bars order as soon as you can as waiters do not come through to check on tables as often as they do in other countries.
7. Don't Experiment on Driving on the Autobahn. It can be very dangerous for first time drivers.
8. Don't Expect to Shop on Sundays in Germany.
9. Don't forget to bring cash. Germans love to pay in cash and some places will only accept cash. So be ready.
10. Don't expect to see just half timbered houses in Germany. It is a thriving modern country with tons of amazing culture, architecture and technology.

We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Kaiserslautern City in Germany TOUR
Kaiserslautern is an independent industrial and university town on the north-western edge of the Palatinate Forest in southern Rhineland-Palatinate . It is the seat of the district administration of the district of Kaiserslautern.
Kaiserslautern is home to about 100,000 people. Additionally, approximately 45,000 NATO military personnel are based in the city and its surrounding district (Landkreis Kaiserslautern), contributing approximately US$1 billion annually to the local economy.
The walking tour took off at Kaiserslautern Bahnhof towards the City Center as we pass by the beautiful K in Lautern mall and Marienkirche. After that we will visit the Kaiserpfalz near Kaiserslautern Radhaus. Thereafter we will head to the Stiftskirche and the last stop is the Japanischer Garten (Japanese Garden).

Landstuhl, Sehenswürdigkeiten der Sickingenstadt
Unser Rundgang durch Landstuhl (Landkreis Kaiserslautern in Rheinland-Pfalz) beginnt bei der Stadthalle. Danach schauen wir uns u.a. die Heilig-Geist-Kirche, die Alte Kapelle, die Stadtkirche und die Villa Benzino an. Später steht danach noch der Sickinger Würfel, das Palais Sickingen und die Schlossstrasse auf unserem Besuchsprogrmm. Dieses endet schliesslich in der Nähe des Rathauses.
