Now, all of these shots were taken in Landau in der Pfalz, which is a small city in the southern part of Germany.
Most of the video is mainly of the Church in the middle of the city.
This city was first a settlement discovered in the 1100’s. During the middle ages it was occupied by the French and then granted to Bavaria in the 1800’s.
Traveling always reminds me that normal is boring, and life is well.

[4KHDR] Driving in Germany: Bundesstraße B10 from Landau in der Pfalz to Pirmasens
In this video you can drive along on the Bundesstraße B10 from Landau in der Pfalz to Pirmasens. This is a rather (in)famous stretch of Bundesstraße that is often regarded as the missing link of A8 Autobahn that runs from East to West.
Lane expansion works are still ongoing as you can see in the first part driving West from Landau and the A65. However, it's unlikely that the entire B10 will be 'twinned', let alone be converted to the Autobahn standard.
The B10 crosses through some beautiful landscapes of the Rhineland-Palatinate, especially once we drive past the city of Annweiler. The more challenging geography from that point becomes evident in the amount of tunnels on the B10, which is why it would be very costly to further expand the road.
Nonetheless the B10 is an important link between the economic areas of the Rhine-Neckar valley and Saarland, which are alternatively connected via the A6 Mannheim - Kaiserslautern - Saarbrücken.

Der Luitpoldpark (Landau in der Pfalz)
Die Festungsanlagen in Landau entstanden zwischen 1688 und 1691 nach den Plänen des berühmten Festungsbaumeisters Vauban. Nach dem Krieg 1870/71 wurde die Festung geschleift. Von der ehemaligen Festungsstadt Landau zeugen noch viele Gebäude und Maueranlagen. Insbesondere in den Fortanlagen, dem heutigen Luitpoldpark, sind noch Mauer- und Grabensysteme mit entsprechenden Erdmodellierungen vorhanden. Als barocke Festungsanlage wurde die Fortanlage 1989 als Denkmalzone ausgewiesen.
Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts wurden die Landauer Fortanlagen durch verschiedene Landschaftsparkelemente ergänzt, beispielsweise den Bismarckturm, das Schweizer Häusel und den Mosesbrunnen, und als Luitpoldpark bezeichnet. Seither präsentiert er sich als Parkanlage mit einem waldartigen Charakter.
