Lists of Tourist Attractions in Lagawe, Ifugao | Philippines Tourist Spots | CAR Tourism

If tropical islands, beautiful landscapes, and unending adventure are in your bucket list for a holiday trip, then you have found a gem of a destination with the Philippines.

The Philippines has over 7,000 islands and is the perfect getaway to experience a mix of nature, culture, and fun.

With all the destinations and experiences the province of Ifugao has numerous best places to offer, creating an itinerary may be daunting, especially for first-time visitors.

Aside from lakes with crystal-clear waters and seas that seem to go on forever, the municipality of Lagawe also boasts hills and mountain ridges with views like no other. These often experience the rare sight of places with sea of clouds, which is exactly that—an ocean-like formation of clouds cast over mountains. It's not always guaranteed given weather conditions, of course, but at the very least, you get to go on a much-need getaway.

Climbing hills or mountains may not be everyone’s cup of tea but it can be incredibly fun especially when you’re with your friends. Whether you’re in it to just enjoy the panoramic beauty of the outdoors, to take a breather from the bustle of the city, or you’re a hardcore climber pushing your limits, the experience of reaching the summit is always exhilarating. Bugat hills and Bintakan offers best views and is considered to be one of Lagawe's tourist spots.

Top 6 Tourist Attractions in Banaue, Ifugao | Must Visit Banaue, Ifugao, Philippines | CAR Tourism

The Banaue Rice Terraces are among the Philippines’ top tourist destinations. Called the 8th Wonder of the Modern World by locals, these terraces are said to have been carved into the mountains and hillsides by the ancestors of the local indigenous Ifugao tribes, and are well over 2,000 years old.

It’s also believed that these terraces were created with little or no machinery and were carved mostly by hand. They provide level steps in the sloped ground, allowing people to plant and cultivate rice. Undoubtedly effective, they’re still in constant use to this day.

Come and discover the rich culture that can be experienced beyond the rice terraces. The Ifugaos use brass gongs in celebrations and rituals. Locally called the “gangsa”, their distinct clanging sound provides the rhythm for traditional Ifugao dances. Visitors can arrange for a cultural show, which includes gong playing, dances, and chanting. A traditional ritual called a “baki” can also be performed, which involves the sacrifice of a native chicken. These can be done at the Banaue Ethnic Village and Pine Forest Resort, near Barangay Viewpoint for a fee of 4,500 to 6,500 PHP or approximately 91 to 130 USD, depending on how elaborate and long the cultural presentation will be.

Three Top Rated Tourist Attractions in Asipulo, Ifugao | Philippines | Cordillera Region

With a fascinating history, diverse geography, delicious food, and friendly people, Asipulo are in many ways an island paradise to the tourists from around the world who are lucky enough to visit.

Though beachgoers, food junkies and history buffs don’t usually seek out waterfalls and caves, perhaps they should, because the Philippines is full of them, and many of them are near to places they’ll be anyway.

For those who live in the congested chaos of Manila, Panghiwan Falls and Imipet Falls are a weekend escape destination to restore one’s sanity.

These falls are comprised of many smaller drops that meet in the pool at the bottom, which is a great place to swim.

If you’re looking to avoid crowds altogether, try to visit during the week or in low-season.

Another tourist attractions of Asipulo is the Bagyuna Cave found at Pula, Asipulo, Ifugao. It is one of the caves that you shouldn’t miss. It is full of life and reserves a tremendously beautiful sight inside. They are mostly limestone caves and all have some amazing rock formations and come in all shapes and sizes.
