There is also plenty to do for backpackers and traveling families. In this video I show you why every traveler should visit Saint Lucia at least once: it's just a place that can hardly be beat!
After Saint Lucia we visit many more gems in the Caribbean. Whether they will match with Saint Lucia remains to be seen! With the best views of the gigantic pitons, overnight stays in tree houses in the middle of the jungle and the most beautiful snow-white beaches, Saint Lucia is high on the list of the most beautiful islands in the world. We sleep in Soufrière, visit the Diamond Waterfalls, hike the Tet Paul Nature Trail and visit the beaches Anse Chastanet, Sugar Beach and Jalousie Plantation Beach. From the west, we drive our small jeep through the rainforest to the south and east, before relaxing at an all-inclusive resort in the north.
This year we travel all over the world and after the Canary Islands, Oman, Cape Verde and Martinique, Saint Lucia is our fifth destination. Follow us on this world tour, first in the Caribbean and then to many more beautiful destinations! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything. This was an amazing trip for my Queen's Birthday. St Lucia blew our minds with spectacular views, waterfalls, amazing food, beautiful sights, and adventure. To get into St Lucia as a vaccinated traveler this past summer, we needed a negative COVID-19 test within the last 5 days and a completed travel authorization form before landing. (***CHECK CDC WEBSITE FOR COVID-19 TESTING REQUIREMENT UPDATES FOR VACCINATED AND UNVACCINATED TRAVELERS HEADING BACK INTO THE US: ). Saint Lucia as a tourist is very expensive as many resorts start at over $1,000 USD per day. See the World, Save a Dollar is the motto and it was difficult to do it on this trip. We did so much and stayed within our budget of $1,200 for 5 days including flights, accommodations, food, attractions, and souvenirs.

Walking from Chalet La Mar, Laborie, St. Lucia to Miss Rose Bakery early morning July 2023 4K
It's about a 10 minute walk from Chalet La Mar to the Miss Rose Bakery, the only real bakery in Laborie village centre. I walked down this hill and up again most days for 3 weeks to get fresh rolls, cinnamon buns, bread pudding and biscuits. The prices are so cheap, and the quality is always great. On this particular morning I met only one person on the way plus a handful of chickens and some nosey goats. Taken on a Sony FDR-AX43 4K Camcorder. I posted a similar video (but on a cameraphone) in 2019, and not a lot has changed in 4 years!

Early morning on Saturday. 10 minute walk into the town.
St Lucia - Land and Sea Tour
On St. Lucia, we went on a land and sea tour. We did this on several islands. This one was our favorite of the trip. We think because we had several destinations and activities.

Saba Villa was complete paradise in Soufriere, Saint Lucia! It was a luxury 2 story villa with so many amenities. The bottom floor includes a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the Gros Piton and Petit Piton twin mountains and the Caribbean Sea. The top floor features the best view of the Pitons in all of the island! Full kitchen and laundry included. We were surrounded by lush greenery, coconut trees, and beautiful flowers. Best of all, this luxury villa was significantly less expensive (#SeeTheWorldSaveADollar) than other luxury stays we looked at - with more privacy, better views, and all-around ideal for us.
