In this video we bring you along on our family's excursion experience with Roatan Five Stars Tours. This was such an amazing excursion! First, we stopped to visit the sloths, monkeys, and birds. Then we boarded a double decker boat and stopped at 3 different snorkel spots- starfish, drop off, and the shipwreck. This was hands down, one of the best excursions ever!

Inside the most dangerous neighborhood in Honduras to find its other story | Rivera Hernandez, SPS
During the 2010s, the Rivera Hernandez neighborhood of San Pedro Sula was considered the most dangerous neighborhood in Honduras. Six street gangs fought for territory and carried out massacres in broad daylight. Hundreds of families left the area due to threats and extortions, leaving behind “ghost towns” within Rivera.
Instead of forming my opinion of the neighborhood based on social media, mass media, or stigmas, I walk its streets, talk to the locals, try street foods, ride on a bus, visit community projects, and see how the “feared” neighborhood has evolved over the years to get a different side of the story.

Hi! We are Eric and Sarah, a couple of Canadians currently travelling around Peru. We’ve been married since 2017 but have known each other since we were only 6 years old! During our last year of university, we spent 4 months in Honduras on a semester abroad and fell in love with Latin America. Inside a school build in La Lima, Honduras
I drove to Cruz de Valencia, one of our partner communities in Honduras, to visit our school build there. Our truck broke down on the way, and we had to walk 2kms through the palm fields!
I was worried about the parents not being able to chip in their labor towards the project given how busy people have been in Honduras with hurricane cleanup efforts after Eta and Iota. Nearly 100 parents who were volunteering their time.
A special thanks to One Thousand Schools, our young professionals branch, for funding the middle school building at Cruz de Valencia in La Lima, Honduras.
