Hello folks! Here we are doing a walk-through of the very first street in La Chorrera (Panama) - la CALLE REAL. Historian Professor Arturo Guzman walks us through and explains the history behind this street now named Calle Baldomero González.

Walk-through of Avenida de Las Américas in La Chorrera, Panama [4K]

Here is a straight walk-through of one of the most commercially dense roads, Avenida de Las Américas. This major road is located in the district named La Chorrera. This district is in the province of Panamá Oeste.

This is the road I was raised in. I have grown to love and appreciate this street for what it has represented - a main road for the movement of commerce and people. One of the main arteries that supplies economic life to our city. I like to think of this road as an antique. After all, it carries historical significance. Pay close attention to the deteriorated ground and sidewalks. These indications of wear and tear bear witness to the work, resilience and progress of humanity over the decades. And it will continue to flourish. Panama is a country of great promise and optimism.

Treasured by some and unappreciated by others, Avenida de Las Américas is my favorite street in all of Panama to take a walk.

Today’s weather: 82 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees celsius), very cloudy, humid.

Total walk-through distance: 1.9 miles (3.1 kilometers)

Duration: 39 minutes

Camera: DJI Osmo Action

---------------------------------------------------------------

Walking Tour of Isla Taboga, Panama City, Panama

Our day trip to Isla Taboga during our vacation to Panama City, Panama. Isla Taboga is a beautiful island with all the charm of island living with a small village vibe. The beach was great, the sun was hot, the breeze was strong, and the people were amazing. Our tour guide spoke English and Spanish, so he had to say everything twice for our sake. There are about 5,000 inhabitants, of which a large percentage are expats who have moved to Panama or own vacation homes there. Isla Taboga is a must see if you visit Panama. The video was taken with a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom and a DJI Osmo Pocket 2. Editing was done with Adobe Premiere Pro.

Driving in Panama City, Panama (2020) ???????? From Panama Pacifico to Autopista Panama-La Chorrera

Recorded in Panama City, Panama. Driving through Panama City can be a pleasant experience when you drive outside rush hours where the traffic is far more bearable and acceptable. Otherwise, get ready to have your patience tested because Traffic jams are no joke here.

In this video i am driving around Panama City, starting from Panama Pacifico to Autopista Panama-La Chorrera.

???? Panama City (Ciudad de Panamá) is the national capital of Panama, as well as the provincial capital of the Panama Province, and largest city of Panama. It is the most modern city not only in Panama, but the rest of Central America.

Panama City has been an incredibly popular tourist and retirement destination, particularly for U.S. and Canadian citizens, due to city prices being cheap compared to most other places. Recently, Panama City has been given the unofficial title of The Dubai of Latin America, due to the recent rapid influx of skyscrapers, high-rise buildings, and increasing number of wealthy people in the city.

Panama City is a very multicultural place, with large populations from many different parts of the world. Spanish is spoken by most, and many speak some form of English. Customer service is slowly improving, and surprisingly dismal in hotels. However, on the streets Panamanians are for the most part friendly and helpful and would love to give you some advice.

There's great shopping, from high-end stores in the malls around Paitilla and in the banking district around Via España, to veritable bargains around La Avenida Central (The Central Avenue, now turned into a pedestrian walkway), Albrook Mall, Los Pueblos mall, etc. You can find many ethnic stores (mostly Chinese and Indian), in certain parts of the City. Panama city has been developed following a USA model. It means going from point A to point B by car or taxi.

There is also public transportation like a metro and a system of (metro) buses. However to walk from A to B is unusual if the distance is more than half a mile. The only exception to this rule is the former European part (Casco Viejo) and Avenida Central where walking is possible and even common among the locals living there.
