Make sure you are well prepared for the trip and do not forget that you must not leave any trash lying around. Throw your trash in the right disposal bins and follow the rules and regulations of the area. Take pleasure in the beautiful place and heed this reminder from Guintubdan Mountain Resort :

Book your room in advance:
La Carlota City Tourism Office: (034) 460-0286
Pavilion and Camping Sites Entrance Fee: Php 20 for adult; Php 10 for kids
Overnight Stay must check-in from 2 PM to 6 PM, and check out is 12 NN.
Guintubdan Mountain Resort Room and Other Rates:
picnic Table: Php 100 per table
annex Room (3-6 persons): Php 600 per day
standard Room (2 persons): Php 1,000 per day
extension Room (3 persons): Php 1,000 per day
family room (4-6 persons): Php 1,500 per day
How to Get to Guintubdan Mountain Resort
From Manila, ride a plane going to Bacolod-Silay airport.
From Bacolod City, you can ride a Cere Bus at the South Terminal or an OMC or SDL bus located in front of Savemore supermarket in Libertad Market that is headed to La Carlota City.
You can choose to hire a private vehicle that can take you to Guintubdan Mountain Resort. The travel can take an hour or more depending on traffic.
Once in La Carlota, you can ride a tricycle heading to the public market, this is near the plaza and the church.
Then ride a jeepney heading to Guintubdan Mountain Resort. Ask the driver or conductor to drop you off at La Carlota Pavilion or Guintubdan Mountain Resort. It takes 30 minutes to less than an hour to get to Guintubdan from La Carlota city proper. As a reminder, trips heading to Guintubdan can be irregular so it would be best to hire a private vehicle
Entrance Fee will be charged for an excess of room capacity.
additional bedding: Php 100 per person per day
Day Tour Cottage (10 persons) with Grilling Area: Php 200
bathroom fee in the Pavilion for taking a bath: Php 20
Please take note that prices in the tariff of Guintubdan Mountain Resort are subject to change without prior notice. Make sure to bring extra pocket money for emergencies.
There is a fee per tent for the tent campers.
If you are going to trek, make sure that you have enough time to do the activity since it can take hours to tour the waterfalls. Bring some water along since it can be tiring.

???? Locally known as one of the hardest and dangerous waterfalls of Brgy. Ara-al, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
???? A 2 hours hike from the jump off point, the trail going to this waterfall is really challenging and will test your wits. You must conquer those big boulders and slippery rocks where the locals believed it came from Mt. Kanlaon. Aside from that, you need to be very careful and do some rain check and monitor the weather to avoid flash floods and landslide. Hence, once you conquered these trials, this amazing reward awaits you at the end of your journey.
???? Always secure your steps and check your surroundings once you do the river trekking going to this waterfall.

Mt. Kanla-on: Negros Occidental Attractions | Truelocal Philippines
One of the thirteen most active volcanoes in the country.
The rim of the crater is a forbidding knife-edge overhanging an apparently bottomless chasm.
Kanlaon, also spelled as Kanla-on or sometimes Canlaon, is an active stratovolcano on the island of Negros, Philippines. It is the highest point in Negros, as well as the whole Visayas, with an elevation of 2,465 m above sea level.

How to get there: ????❓❓❓
???? From Bacolod, catch a jeepney to Ma-ao (P40, 1½ hours) and a tricycle to the resorts (P200 to P300, 30 to 40 minutes) or to La Carlota (P35, one hour); a jeepney from the latter to Guintubdan is P30.
???? There are three main routes up the volcano itself.
???? The Guintubdan trail is the easiest and most comon ascent, but even this should not be underestimated.
???? The usual start point is Guintubdan, where there is basic accommodation at The Pavilion (P499 and under) and Rafael Salas Nature Camp (P499 and under).
???? From here, although it’s only 8km to the top, the trail is best broken with an overnight stop.
???? The 14km-long Mananawin trail works best over three days and offers the chance to really get to know the region, while the short, steep Wesey trail is very exposed and only for experienced tropical mountaineers.
