Welcome To My Home The Oil City

Welcome To My Home The Oil City

One of the biggest Cities in Uganda is Hoima preferably called the Oil city. Since the discovery of oil in the Albertine region that borders the district in the west, Hoima has grown into the limelight with eyes glued on commercial and oil-related industrial growth expected to be seen more in the next five years.

Hoima district lies in mid-western Uganda within the region that forms the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom. This district is counted among the fastest-growing regions of Uganda.

Hoima is the seat of the Omukama (King) of Bunyoro! This town has so many cultural sites of the Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom which once occupied the whole of western and parts of central Uganda.

By road-the town is 3 hours drive from Kampala, the capital of Uganda. There are taxis and buses that offer public transport to Hoima town. Alternative means such as car are available from Kampala’s tour operators and Travel Agents

Budget Accomodation in Fortportal. #travel #uganda #shorts

How amazing and efficient fishing on Crater Lake is in Kasunga Nyanja 10kms after Fortportal Town.

This fish species are close relatives to Tilapia. They don't grow so big because of the low oxygen levels in the crater.

This Crater Lake is too deep that the attempts to measure its depth were unsuccessful.

The low oxygen levels make it easy for fishermen because the fish keep almost on top of the Lake where there is atleast enough oxygen supply.

So amazing how people here make a living from fishing. There are also many birds of prey that hunt and feed on the fish including pelicans, Fish eagles, pied king fishers, woodland king fishers, palm nut Vultures among others.

Enjoy the video and enjoy #ThePearlOfAfrica #Bella Vista Lodge #Nature

4 minutes of Who is Darius and Travel With Darius TV Show

I make road trips showcasing to the world how people live, eat and sleep. Interacting with locals creating smiles and fun. I inspire people to travel the world by showing them where they can stay, party, see and much more.

Darius is a Traveler. My friends call me Dossantos. I started travelling alone late 1990’s when I was 12 years. When I was young I had a lot of beliefs from what I heard and what people told me. I thought where I lived was the best place on earth among other beliefs. I thought some people were not welcoming than my village or tribes mate.

Wait a minute, during my travels I met many people that were almost or close to my belief thinking the same way before I got out of my mother’s house. But the most interesting part is the culture and beliefs of some people.

I noticed there are some people who were proud of where they live and thought other areas were not any better or even worse than that. I found out that some people believed that outside their world was bad and could not handle them. Well they were right just like me until I got out discovering the world.

I actually through
my experience found out that this world is more beautiful than we think. I found out that some cultures were amazing than mine and some countries were welcoming than mine. I found out that there was more fun and pleasure than in my country. I discovered more luxury than what was in my country.
