Kunming has a monsoon climate in the northern subtropical low-latitude plateau mountain. It is a mountainous landform, surrounded by mountains on three sides, and bordered by Dianchi Lake in the south. The scenery along the lake is beautiful. Because of its location on the low-latitude plateau, it has a climate of all seasons like spring and enjoys the reputation of Spring City. China Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair, China International Tourism Fair, and China Kunming International Tourism Festival make Kunming one of the major exhibition cities in China.

Take a brief tour through the Golden Temple, also known as Tongwa Temple, the largest copper temple in China. Originally built in 1602 and then destroyed and rebuilt in 1890, the Golden temple has become the most famous Taoist Shrine in Yunnan Province. The temple grounds also have a 3 story bell tower, a series of heavenly gates, greenhouses, gardens, and plenty of natural scenery.

Hey everyone. I've recently moved to Kunming, Yunnan, China. Im living in a historic part of Kunming called Guandu Ancient Town. Here is a brief walk through the area. There is a lot of history here and it draws a lot of tourists from throughout China. Its also the location of the Yunnan Shaolin Temple where Ill be studying.

The title has been given to the city because it has the most favorable year-round climate in all of China. But that is not the only thing that attracts millions of tourist every year. The awesome city of Kunming has so much to offer from delicious indigenous food, shopping, parks, and many natural wonders.

Kunming has many tourist attractions, unfortunately we did not have a lot of time to spend in the city. If you are wondering what to do in Kunming, it's good to know that Kunming tourist attractions can be easily visited on your own. The must do in Kunming is the Dragon Gate, located on the cliff of the Western Hills (Xishan Mountain) where you can have a view of the Dianchi Lake. The seagulls at Green Lake are a wonder and if you visit during the winter time, this is definitely a must see place in Kunming. Yuantong Temple is very tranquil and best visited in the late afternoon.

Green Lake Park or Cui Hu Park is located downtown in the heart of Kunming. It is near the University, Western Restaurants, nice hotels, and is within walking distance of the WuYi Lu and Panjiawan metro stations. There are many venders throughout the park and locals gather to relax, sing, and dance. Enjoy!

Explore Kunming - China ! Unusual destination
Kunming is the capital and largest city of Yunnan province in southwest China. today it is a prefecture-level city and the political, economic, communications and cultural centre of the province as well as the seat of the provincial government. Kunming is also called the Spring city due to its weather. The headquarters of many of Yunnan's large businesses are in Kunming. It was important during World War II as a Chinese military center, American air base, and transport terminus for the Burma Road. Located in the middle of the Yunnan–Guizhou Plateau, Kunming is located at an altitude of 1,900 metres (6,234 feet) above sea level and at a latitude just north of the Tropic of Cancer.
Kunming consists of an old, previously walled city, a modern commercial district, residential and university areas. The city has an astronomical observatory, and its institutions of higher learning include Yunnan University, Yunnan Normal University and a medical college. On the outskirts is a famed bronze temple, dating from the Ming dynasty.
