Known for their perfection these trains did not live up to expectations, following massive delays they are now in service and in this video we will explore if they really are so bad and what went wrong.

The IC 2. Hated from a lot of passengers, saying it is only a white painted regional train with carpet floor.
But is it really that bad? I don't think so. But look for yourself.....

The best sounding diesel engine still in service? Glorious Baureihe 218 - 400 subscriber special -
For reaching the 400 subscriber mark, I'd like to take you back to the summer of 2021 where I recorded one of the best sounding diesel engines, or locomotives for that matter, in my opinion; The 'Baureihe 218', or BR 218 for short!
Yes, yes they're might have been better sounding engines still around in heritage units or locos, as a Valenta engine has been reinstated for the prototype HST for example, but of the engines that are actually still in service, not many of them have such a great roar as the BR 218 of the German DB. The 218 up to this day still is in service in both freight and passenger service, though the latter is definitely on a time limit by now. Back in '21 they were the main traction for intercities to the peninsula of Sylt, where we can see this specific set depart from as a matter of fact.
Somewhere in 2023 I want to revisit the region, in hopes of capturing more of the stunning loco, though up first is another trip to The UK with a partial focus on the current, interim stock of EMR. Running on it's last legs for the company.
On to the topic of passing the 400 subscriber mark: Thank you all for your continuous support, as I can't do it without you. I'll be pumping out a lot more Dutch, English and German footage in the upcoming year, and hopefully the years to follow!
