Novosibirsk Travel Guide - Russia Magical Atmosphere
Novosibirsk is the administrative center of Novosibirsk Oblast in Russia. Located in the southwestern part of Siberia on the banks of the Ob River. Novosibirsk was founded in 1893 on the Ob River crossing point of the future Trans-Siberian Railway. Originally named Novonikolayevsk, it grew rapidly into a major transport, commercial and industrial hub. The city was ravaged by the Russian Civil War but recovered during the early Soviet period, and gained its present name in 1926. Under Stalin, Novosibirsk became one of the largest industrial centers of Siberia. Following the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War the city hosted many factories relocated from European Russia. Novosibirsk is home to the headquarters of numerous Russian corporations, as well as the world-renowned Novosibirsk Zoo. It is served by Tolmachevo Airport, the busiest airport in Siberia.
Novosibirsk grew into a beautiful place with booming cultural life (after the fall of Soviet Union). Russia's third largest city has embraced its status as capital of Siberia and opened its doors to the world. A slew of museums and monuments, a relaxed big-city vibe, a pulsating nightlife and a wealth of great accommodation are available to the visitors.
Summers in Novosibirsk are typically warm with average temperatures of around 18°C (64°F) but it can be cold at night. Summer months are also often wet and rainy and storms can occur. June and July are the sunniest months. Winter can be severely cold with temperatures dropping below -30°C (-22°F), but its usually around -15°C (5°F). Winter is often dark and cloudy and heavy snowfall is a regular occurrence. Spring and Autumn are both transitional months, and can either be very cold or quite warm. During spring, streets and roads can become dirty as a result of mud and melting snow.
The city center is fairly compact and a walk from the railway station to Lenin's square takes around 20 minutes. Public transport includes a Metro system in the city centre as well as buses, trams, taxi, and trolleybuses. A ride on intra-city public transport costs RUB35 or less.
There are many good dining options and many local chain restaurants. Lenin Square is a popular place to eat. Italian food, sushi, and Russian food are all very popular. Many cafes offer lunch specials on weekdays. With the exception of some high-end hotels, all hotels and hostels offer free WiFi and many have computer terminals. Almost all accept credit cards. Hotels and hostels will usually provide a visa invitation and registration for an additional fee.

Фильм о нашей поездке по 5 странам средней Азии, бывшим республикам СССР. Стартовав из Новосибирска за 38 дней, на трех внедорожниках, мы преодолели 12700 км., проехали Казахстан, Киргизию, Таджикистан, Узбекистан, Туркменистан. Маршрут пролегал по казахским степям, Тянь-Шаню, Памиру, пустыням Каракумы и Кызылкумы, по побережью Каспийского моря, до границ с Ираном и Афганиcтаном. Мы чуть не попали на войну, смогли подняться на 4655 м. на машинах, проехать по пустыне без кондиционера, посмотреть Самарканд , Бухару и сделать многое многое другое ;-)

Улицы Новосибирска увешаны рекламой, всюду какие-то пёстрые вывески и неправильная парковка. А общественный транспорт? Они до сих пор используют ПАЗики!

Zanim zaczynamy już wracać do domu z długiej podróży rowerowej na dobre, spędzimy dzień w mieście Nowosibirsk. Niestety, nie robi na nas wielkiego wrażenia. To po prostu duże miasto. W tym odcinku pokazujemy jak tam wygląda.
Na początku 2017 roku wyruszyliśmy w rowerową podróż. Jej celem był dojazd do Mongolii, ale też poznawanie krajów i miejscowych ludzi. Czasami zostawialiśmy rowery i podróżowaliśmy autostopem. A przez Morze Kaspijskie przepłynęliśmy towarowym promem. W 252 dni przyjechaliśmy przez 16 krajów i pokonaliśmy ponad 27.000 kilometrów.
