This time I present you a walk through the beautiful old town in Mödling, Lower Austria.
Mödling is a city in in Lower Austria 16 kilometers south of Vienna as part of its metropolitan area with 20,559 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2021).
The municipality lies on the one hand with its hills in the eastern Vienna Woods and on the other hand, with its wine-growing area, belongs to the thermal region in the western slope area of the Vienna basin. The Mödlingbach, which rises in the Wienerwald community and flows into the Schwechat near Achau, flows through Mödling.

Hohe Mandling als Winter-Abschiedstour - Grillenberg - Geyersattel - Fotzeben - Wandern in NÖ
Die Hohe Mandling (976 m) ist ein Berg in der Nähe von Pernitz in den Gutenteiner Alpen. Der Gifpel bietet zwar keine Aussicht und seit dem Brand der Berndorfer Hütte auch keine Einkehr mehr, aber er entschädigt mit einer schönen Gipfelwiese.
Die Besteigung von Grillenberg über Geyersattel und Fotzeben ist aufgrund ihrer Länge eher unbülich, doch wegen der abwechslungreichen Landschaft lohnend. Ein Teil der Route verläuft gemeinsam mit dem Nordalpenweg, der Abstieg erfolgt über den kleinen Rosenkogel nach Grillenberg zurück.
Mit ca. 17,5km und etwa 900 Höhenmetern ergibt sich so auch bei winterlichen Bedingungen eine angenehme Tagestour.

Im 16. Bezirk, liegt das Schloss Wilhelminenberg. Idyllisch umgeben von einem 120.000 m² großen Park, inmitten von Wiesen, Wäldern und Weingärten. Ein Baujuwel im Empirestil, mit eleganten Zimmern, Schloss-Restaurant, mit unvergleichlichem Ausblick über Wien, einem Wintergarten, einer Bibliothek sowie stilvollen Banketträumlichkeiten ein wunderbarer Ort ist um Kraft zu tanken.
