Relive the 2nd stage of the epic 'Tour of Karamoja - Uganda's Warrior Nomad Trail Ride' organised by Kara-Tunga Tours. This stage starts in Amudat district and ends on the foothills of Mount Moroto. More info:

25 participants from 10 different countries of origin, cycled the entire length of Karamoja land: 430Km in only 5 days. They climbed a total of 4,500m over the foothills of various mountain ranges and the Eastern Rift bordering Kenya and South Sudan. To finally cycle into Africa's most scenic Kidepo Valley National Park.

The annual bike event is held to promote Karamoja land as a must-visit destination for authentic cultural experiences and untamed outdoor adventure. And thereby create opportunities for the local communities.

Uganda, oficialmente República de Uganda (en inglés Republic of Uganda; en suajili Jamhuri ya Uganda) es un país soberano situado en África oriental. El país limita al este con Kenia, al norte con Sudán del Sur, al oeste con República Democrática del Congo y al suroeste con Ruanda y Tanzania. Uganda se encuentra en la región de los Grandes Lagos de África, la parte sur del país incluye una parte sustancial del lago Victoria, compartido con Kenia y Tanzania. Uganda también se encuentra dentro de la cuenca del Nilo y tiene un clima variado pero generalmente ecuatorial. Ferry atravesando el Nilo

El monte Kadam en Uganda.
Uganda se encuentra situada en el este de África. Limita al norte con Sudán del Sur, al oeste con la República Democrática del Congo, al sur con Ruanda y Tanzania y al este con Kenia. Las ciudades más importantes del país se encuentran en el sur y entre ellas destacan la capital Kampala y Entebbe.50​ El país se halla sobre una meseta con una elevación media de 900 m sobre el nivel del mar. La mayor altitud del país es el Monte Stanley de 5109 m.

Aunque Uganda no tiene salida al mar, en ella se encuentran los lagos Victoria, Alberto, Kyoga y Eduardo. El mayor de ellos es el lago Victoria, en el que Uganda posee varias islas y que sirve de frontera con Kenia y Tanzania. Del lago Victoria nace uno de los ramales del Nilo. Aunque el clima es tropical, hay diferencias entre las distintas regiones del país.

Tour of Karamoja 2020, Stage 3: Kotido - Jurassic Kaabong

Relive the 3rd stage: Today we started with a transfer by vehicle from Moroto to Kotido to start the 3rd stage of 60Km through the stunning Jurassic Park-like landscape of Kaabong District!

25 participants from 10 different countries of origin, cycled the entire length of Karamoja land: 430Km in only 5 days. They climbed a total of 4,500m over the foothills of various mountain ranges and the Eastern Rift bordering Kenya and South Sudan. Tour of Karamoja 2021, Bike Challenge - Stage 4 ????

The riders enjoyed ???? a short 40Km afternoon stage on community access roads and single track through a totally unique landscape that characterises the Tour of Karamoja, Northern circuit ???? ⛰️. Today was the perfect cool-down stage to prepare for tomorrows final big day ???? of 80Km - 1.3Km climb to the top of the rift and down into the Morungole mountain range.
