We didn't know what to expect from Malaysian Borneo, but for sure we didn't know it would be like this! Kota Kinabalu was a surprise. It's hard to explain this place, but you'll see exactly what we mean after watching the video.
We hope you enjoy this Kota Kinabalu, Sabah video :) And this is just the beginning of our adventures in Malaysian Borneo! We can't wait to share more with you!
★ MORE INFO ABOUT THE FOUR-ISLAND TOUR:
1. What we did: we went to the Sutera Marina and basically talked to the only operator in the marina. They have all the tours and prices displayed, and even though it was slightly more expensive than other options, it was pretty painless and we had a great experience! We recommend this option :)
2. Another option (this was plan B for us): Go to Jesselton Point Jetty and try to negotiate a price. It will be cheaper than what we paid ($15 p/p), but there will be A LOT of different operators to choose from. This info was shared to us by a local and also from the guy at the beginning of the video.
In the end, we decided it was ok to pay a higher price because we were already there and it was the right choice for us :) but there are other options.

Looking for things to do in Kota Kinabalu? When traveling to Kota Kinabalu, island hopping and enjoying the beach are two of the top things to do in Kota Kinabalu.
In this video, I will share to you our island hopping adventure in two of Kota Kinabalu’s best beaches and islands.
Manukan Island is the 2nd largest island in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. It is also the most developed in terms of facilities. It has a resort, several restaurants, and cottages for visiting tourists. Also, water activities such as scuba diving, kayaking, parasailing, and many more are available here.
On Sapi Island, you could enjoy swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, and many water activities. If there's one island you should visit, this has to be it. Sapi Island has one of the nicest beaches in this marine park!
TRAVEL TIP: For ease and convenience I highly recommend booking a Sapi and Manukan Island day tour and just enjoy the tour! With a hassle-free and all-in tour, all you need to do is relax and enjoy these two beautiful islands of Kota Kinabalu.

I firmly believe that Kota Kinabalu (KK) is one of the most underrated cities in Southeast Asia. A huge reason behind this decision was the incredible food scene.
The city has a chilled-out, relaxed vibe, a waterfront to wander along, and plenty of hipster coffee shops and street art to explore. It’s a fantastic city to base yourself in for a week or two, if not longer. Here's my pick :
