We've been fortunate enough to have experienced the 4 seasons in this old, coastal town in Norway. We were here for the great Summer of 2018 and the fabulous white Christmas of 2020 and in between. Skudeneshavn is just beautiful whatever season you choose to visit. Situated on the island of Karmøy, there is lots to keep you enthralled which shouldn't come as a surprise as it was the home of the Viking kings. Avaldsnes Viking Farm, Karmøy - Where the real Vikings lived | @norwaycation
In Avaldsnes in Western Norway you can visit a Viking farm, built the way historians think it looked like over 1000 years ago. The farm is built in the area where Harald Fairhair (the king that gathered Norway into one Kingdom in year 972) ruled from. All the buildings are replicas of buildings found in archaeological excavations different places in Norway.
In the same area, you can visit the Olav’s Church built by Håkon Håkonsson about 800 years ago and as a contrast, the modern Nordvegen History Center which tells the story about the viking kings, the gathering of Norway and their transition from Norse mythology to Christianity.
The area and attractions is recommended for cruise tourists visiting Haugesund.

Varhaug old cemetery. Jæren, *Norway, in a sunny winter day. Breathtaking.
This cemetery has been used for almost 700 years. Located in the sea gap on the farm Varhaug in Hå.
Around 1200, the first church was probably built here.
In 1842 was a shipwreck off the cost and 389 Russian sailors were buried here.
The current chapel was built in 1951 and it has the old church bells from 1791.
This place is breathtaking!

Randaberg Norway(short Video)
Randaberg is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Jæren, at the northern end of the Stavanger Peninsula. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Randaberg.
Randaberg is located just north of the city of Stavanger. It is the northernmost conurbation of the Stavanger/Sandnes area, one of the largest urban areas in the country. The Byfjord Tunnel connects the islands of Stavanger Municipality to the east with the mainland of Randaberg. The Rogfast tunnel is going to be built from Randaberg, under the Boknafjorden, to the north side of the fjord as well as to the island of Kvitsøy.
The 25-square-kilometre (9.7 sq mi) municipality is the 350th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Randaberg is the 100th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 11,221. The municipality's population density is 465.4 inhabitants per square kilometre (1,205/sq mi) and its population has increased by 12.2% over the previous 10-year period.
