Bhadaiya Kund is in the Madhav National Park and is about 4 km from Shivpuri on Shivpuri- Jhansi road. There is a Gaumukh at the bottom in Bhadaiya Kund, in which water is always coming out, and no one knows where this water comes from. This water is very pure, which was earlier filled in containers and taken abroad. This water is very cool and tasty. There is also a temple of Hanuman ji here. Also there is a beautiful garden and there is also a cafeteria. Sailing Club is also visible from here, if you want, you can also enjoy boating here.
भदैया कुंड माधव राष्ट्रीय उद्यान के क्षेत्र में है और शिवपुरी- झांसी मार्ग पर शिवपुरी से 4 किमी. की दूरी पर है। भदैया कुंड में नीचे की तरफ एक गौमुख बना हुआ है जिसमें हमेशा पानी निकलता रहता है, और यह पानी कहां से आता है किसी को नहीं पता। यह पानी बहुत शुद्ध है जिसे पहले कंटेनरों में भरकर विदेशो में भी ले जाया जाता था। यह पानी बहुत ही शीतल और स्वादिष्ट है। यहां पर हनुमान जी का मंदिर भी है। साथ ही यहां एक सुंदर गार्डन है और कैफेटएरिया भी है। यहां से सीलिंग क्लब भी दिखाई देता है, आर चाहें तो यहां वोटिंग करने का आनंद भी ले सकते हैं।

The Madhav National Park is situated on the northern fringe of the Central Highlands of India. It is a part of the upper Vindhyan hills, forming plateaus, and having small and big nallas. The slopes are generally gentle, rarely steep. Spreading over an area of almost 355 sq.kms, the Madhav National Park is fascinating mix of natural splendors of history and architectural wonders. The park, one of the oldest, is situated in the northern part of Madhya Pradesh, near Shivpuri town. Madhav got the status of a National Park in 1958. It is the ancestral home of the line of ęAli Khan, a region based in Punjab, and most famous for the laws of commonly credited with defining modern day jurisprudence. Shivpuri is steeped in the royal legacy of its past, when it was the summer capital of the Scindia rulers of Gwalior. Earlier its dense forests were the hunting grounds of the Mughal emperors. Emperor Akbar captured herds of elephants for his stables while returning from Mandu in year 1564.
Madhav National Park has total area of 354 km². It was set up in the year 1959. The National Park is open throughout the year. With a varied terrain of wooded hills -- the forest being dry mixed and deciduous- and flat grasslands around the lake, it offers abundant opportunities of sighting a variety of wildlife. The Predominant wild animal species that inhabits the Park is the deer, of which the most easily sighted are the graceful little chinkara or Indian gazelle, and the chital. Other species that have their habitat in the park are nilgai, sambar, chausingha or four-horned antelope, blackbuck, sloth bear, leopard and the common langur.
This National Park has a varied terrain of forested hills and flat grasslands around the lake. It is very rich in Biodiversity. The park is unique in having both lake and forest ecosystems. Sakhya and Madhav Sagar are the two lakes in the park, which are important biodiversity support systems. These lakes not only add to the natural beauty of the area, but also provide a permanent source of water to the wildlife, and a fine wetland habitat to the aquatic fauna including thousands of migratory waterfowls. The park represents the Northern Tropical dry deciduous mixed forest type, as well as dry thorn forest, typical of North-Western Madhya Pradesh.

Ancient Temples of Mahua - Shivpuri (M. P.)
Mahua is a village in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. There are three temples of considerable antiquity at Mahua. 1) This road touch & east facing Shiva Temple is an exemplary specimen of Nagara architecture style. During my visit, the temple was under restoration. 2) Shiva Mandapika Temple – This is the earliest temple at Mahua and can be assigned to the latter half of the seventh century CE based upon the foundation inscription over the porch lintel of the temple. The temple is constructed without a shikhara (tower) which is usually considered as a characteristic of early period temples. 3) Chamunda Temple – This north facing temple is locally known as Kherapati temple. Inside the sanctum is placed an almost life-size statue of Chamunda shown with ten arms holding khatvanga, snake, human head, trishula, damaru etc. Various kankalas, goblins are shown indulged in many disturbing activities.

Madhav National Park is situated in Shivpuri District of Gwalior division in northwest Madhya Pradesh, India. Two national highways pass through the park, the Agra to Bombay former National Highway 3 and the Jhansi to Shivpuri National Highway 27 (formerly N.H.25).
The park was first noticed in 1956, at 167 km2, as Shivpuri National Park. In 1958, it was renamed Madhav National Park after Madho Rao Scindia, the Maharaja of Gwalior belonging to the Scindia dynasty of the Marathas, and was finalized the following year.[1]
The park has many leopards, and since October 2007, one male and one female tiger have made Madhav their home.
Geography
There are several small ponds in this national park, but the largest body of water is Sankhya Sagar, a reservoir,[2] constructed for Madho Rao Scindia when it was still his hunting grounds.[1] He also had constructed a second smaller reservoir, Madhav Sagar, known as Madhav Lake.[1] A third reservoir was not included in the park.[1]
Located in the ecoregion of Khathiar-Gir dry deciduous forests,[3] this national park has a varied terrain of forested hills and flat grasslands around the reservoir and is thus rich in biodiversity. The average rainfall is 816 mm.[4]
History
Shivpuri town is the ancestral home of the line of ęAli Khan,[citation needed] a region based in Punjab, and most famous for the laws of commonly credited with defining modern day jurisprudence.[citation needed]
The dense forests around Shivpuri were the hunting grounds of the Mughal emperors and later the Maratha royals. Emperor Akbar captured herds of elephants for his stables while returning from Mandu in year 1564.[citation needed] Since the area was a royal shooting reserve, it was well protected, and abounded with wild life and was famous for its tigers. Bengal tigers and other animals were known to wander in great numbers in the area.
Shivpuri town in the state of Madhya Pradesh was formerly the summer capital and a much larger park was the former hunting preserve of the Scindia maharajas of Ujjain and Gwalior. It is reported[citation needed] that in 1916, Lord Hardinge shot eight tigers in one day at Shivpuri. Lord Minto supposed to have shot 19 tigers during his trip to Gwalior State.[citation needed]
After the independence of India, the area suffered degradation.[1] Agriculture and mining encroached on the former hunting grounds. Although the park was noticed in 1956, at 167 km2, as Shivpuri National Park and became thye renamed Madhav National Park in 1959, degradation continued.[1][4] The last of the resident wild tigers were seen in Madhav National Park around late 1970. In 1982 a plan to add a new part of the park along the Sindh River was proposed. This expansion area included a corridor joining it to the original 167 km2,[1] which when completed would bring the park to 354 km2. (See map below in external links.)
As late as the 1990s there was little effort to improve the conditions in the park. Illegal mining and questionable mining permits led to significant degradation in the park, so that in the 1990s conservationists took the matter the Supreme Court of India and by 1998 received an injunction terminating mining in the area.
Owing to dedicated efforts the habitat has again become secure and improved encouraging transient tigers to be tempted to become resident.
Shivpuri - Tranquil Forests Steeped in Sanctity

Moving from Shivpuri, the video narrates about a place 127 kms away called Chanderi. Informing about the history of Chanderi, the video features the intricacy of Kaushak Mahal and Badal Darwaza, the inspirational Adinath statue and the craftmanship of weaving of the famous Chanderi sarees.

Madhav National Park : Sakhya Sagar Lake, Madhya Pradesh
Sakhya Sagar Lake is situated in Madhav National Park in the Gwalior district of Madhra Pradesh.
A boat-man cleans his lunch dishes in the lake, with a backdrop of Scindia family statues and pillared varandahs from the British ara. This area fell within the Scindia state of pre-Independent India. The Victorian looking statues at the boat house probably came from Europe. A Common or Eurasian Kingfisher sits on an electric wire even as a patch of water lilies flowers at the edge of the lake.
