With a capacity of up to 16 occupants, Ndali Lodge’s eight grass-thatched cottages are spacious and airy, with each facing west to offer a panoramic view of the Rwenzori Mountains.
The view from the dining area was stunning, looking over the lake. You can also do paddle-boarding on the lake. I would recommend this lodge to anyone who is travelling to Uganda. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the rooms are beautiful. Loved every moment!

Lake Mburo National Park is Uganda’s smallest national park
Lake Mburo National Park is located in Kiruhura District in the Western Region of Uganda, about 30 km (19 mi) east of Mbarara and about 240 km (150 mi) by road west of Kampala.
Lake Mburo was originally gazetted in 1933 as a controlled hunting area and upgraded to a game reserve in 1963. The region was settled by Banyankole Bahima pastoralists who traditionally herd Ankole cattle, and still do. The residents continued to graze their cattle in the reserve, a situation decried by western conservationists, who termed them invaders in 1981, but were expelled from their lands after it was upgraded to national park status in 1983, as hoped for by some in the West.

Isingiro District is located in western Uganda. It is bordered by Mbarara to the North West, Ntungamo to the West, Kiruhura to the North, Rakai to the East and Tanzania to the South. The District currently has Town Councils of Kabuyanda, Kaberebere, Isingiro, Kamubeizi, Kikagati, Bugango, Ruhiira and Endiinzi. Isingiro also has Sub Counties of Birere, Endiinzi, Kabingo, Kabuyanda, Kakamba, Kashumba, Kikagate, Masha, Mbaare, Ngarama, Nyakitunda, Nyamuyanja, Ruborogota, Rugaaga and Rushasha.
Isingiro District has two refugee settlements namely; Nakivale and Oruchinga which are managed by the Office of the Prime Minister, United Nations High Commission for Refugees among other relief and implementing partners.
As per the population census 2014, Isingiro District had a population of 540,650 people with 108,112 Refugees.

Mbarara City is a city in the Western Region of Uganda. It is the main municipal, administrative, and commercial centre of Mbarara District and the site of the district headquarters. As the evicted pastoralists were not compensated for lost grazing land or assisted with resettling, many remained hostile to the upgrade. The rangeland outside the park was subsequently subdivided into small ranges and subsistence farming plots.[3] In 1985, the second Obote regime fell and the previous residents of Lake Mburo re-occupied the park's land, expelling park staff, destroying infrastructure, and killing wildlife. Location: Lake Mburo National Park is located in western Uganda, in the Kiruhura district. It is about 230 kilometers from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda.
Walking Safari Experience: A walking safari at Lake Mburo National Park offers visitors a chance to experience the park's diverse wildlife up close while enjoying the natural beauty of the park. Trained park rangers guide visitors through the park's savannah grasslands, acacia woodlands, and rolling hills. Along the way, visitors can spot a variety of animals such as zebras, impalas, elands, buffalo, and warthogs, as well as many bird species.
Duration and Group Size: Walking safaris at Lake Mburo National Park usually last between 2-3 hours, and groups are typically limited to a maximum of six people. This is to ensure the safety of both visitors and the animals in the park.
