Kropyvnytskyi is a city in central Ukraine on the Inhul river. It is an administrative centre of the Kirovohrad Oblast. If you had been sleeping for the last 7 years you may know Kropyvnytskyi by another name. In its history its been known by more than a handful of different names - there are many in Ukraine who don't even know where Kropyvnytskyi (Кропивни́цький) is but might know where Kirovohrad or Kirovograd is instead. And yet on my tour around Ukraine, I've found myself exploring Kropyvnytskyi. Join me once again while this Englishman finds himself in Kropyvnytskyi Ukraine trying his best to understand the place.

Being tempted by the idea to join the final scheduled flight of Belavia's legendary TU-154M on a rotation from Minsk to St. Petersburg and back, it just made sense to change my usual access to Belarus from a direct flight from Frankfurt to a Motor Sich Airlines flight from Zaporizhia, Ukraine.
Especially, because a YAK-40 and an AN-140 have been planned for scenic flights out of Minsk, the possibility was likely to get a two hour YAK-40 and a two hour AN-140 ride in and out of Minsk for 150 EUR.
Once in Zaporizhia, I could not resist the idea to explore once again the network of this very unusual and unique fine little airline, operating solely aircraft of Soviet and Ukrainian production, equipped with engines developed and manufactured by the Motor Sich Engine Plant.
So, it was off again to the Ukraine, in 2016.
Things in the Ukraine have changed considerably from 2014.
To the worse.
The enthusiasm from the days of the Maidan has given way to lethargic and pessimistic mood.
Lots of red tape, increased suspicion against foreigners from whatever origin has sparked an increased awareness of security personnel on the ramp and elsewhere against those species with a camera in their hand.
Spirits and minds are back to old Soviet reflections.
It is hard to imagine this great country getting back on its feet soon.
Eleven (!) flights in total on board Soviet and Ukrainian metal were about to follow.
This flight on board AN-24 UR-47297 was the first flight, starting at Kiev's Zhuliany airport on the evening service to Motor Sich's base Zaporizhia.
This flight was the only flight, on which I received a rather harsh treatment from the crew on board.
It turned out, that this crew was not informed about my arrival, and hence, business as usual, no photos, no videos, shut up and remain seated !
The tone remained rude and firm until I felt obliged to mention the names of my generous hosts at Motor Sich Airlines, which helped changing attitude considerably into a somewhat apologetic and forgiving nature.
UR-47297 is a unique aircraft, with a different, a modern cabin layout similar to the Boeing 737, smaller windows, quite tough for videographers, especially on full flights and during night time.

Airframe 07306610 was manufactured January 28, 1971 at Kiev-Svyatoshino and delivered March 15, 1971 to the Kirovgrad Advanced Flying Training College of Aeroflot, registered CCCP-47297 on April 15, 1971.
On June 27, 1973, CCCP-47297 was transferred to the Ukrainian Division of Aeroflot and based at Kiev-Zhuliany (IEV).
CCCP-47297 was newly registered UR-47297 on June 16, 1993, operating for Air Ukraine.
UR-47297 operated for ARP 410 Airline, the Airline of the Kiev Aircraft Repair Plant 410 from November, 2001 until July, 2009.
UR-47297 was offered for sale by ARP 410 in November, 2009 and did not find any buyer for four years and was stored at Kiev-Zhuliany.
UR-47297 was sold to Motor Sich Airlines and joined the small fleet in June, 2013.
Equipped with an experimental western style Cabin layout and seating, UR-47297 operated on the domestic and regional network of Motor Sich Airlines.
UR-47297 has not been active since the outbreak of the Corona Pandemic in 2020 and is reported stored at Kiev-Zhuliany.

Телега - четырёхколёсная грузовая повозка на трассе E-95 в Беларуси, а также огромный комбайн. Трасса E-95 это дорога из Санкт-Петербурга в Одессу. На юге России телега называется воз. В телеги обычно впрягают лошадей и буйволов. Кстати, значение сна о лошади с телегой — это срочные задачи, требующие немедленного решения.
Европейский маршрут E95 — автомобильная дорога в Восточной Европе на территории России, Беларуси, Украины и Турции. До 1997 года название Е95 носила современная Е105, включающая в себя М10.Имеет важное межгосударственное значение для восточнославянских стран, СНГ, а также важное международное значение.
Проходит по территории Ленинградской и Псковской областей России, Витебской, Могилёвской и Гомельской областей Белоруссии, Черниговской, Киевской, Черкасской, Кировоградской, Николаевской и Одесской областей Украины, далее паромом по Чёрному морю, затем по территории Турции (илы Самсун и Амасья).
Основные города: Санкт-Петербург, Гомель, Киев, Одесса, Самсун, Мерзифон. Самый загруженный участок дороги приходится на сегмент между Киевом и Одессой. Общая протяжённость — 3770 км.
