Kirchheimbolanden, die Kleine Residenz - Sehenswürdigkeiten von Kibo
Unser Rundgang durch die gastfreundliche Kreisstadt des Donnersbergkreises (Rheinland-Pfalz) beginnt am Rathaus. Nachdem wir uns das Schloss Kirchheimbolanden mit dem beeindruckenden Schlossgarten angeschaut haben, gelangen wir in die historische Altstadt mit vielen Barockgebäuden und der teilweise gut restaurierten Stadtmauer. Der Obere Torturm, auch Apothekenturm genannt, die Paulus- sowie die Peterskirche sind weitere Anlaufpunkte in Kirchheimbolanden, kurz Kibo genannt.

Lauterecken - Sehenswürdigkeiten der Veldenzstadt
Wir beginnen unseren Rundgang durch Lauterecken (Landkreis Kusel in Rheinland-Pfalz) an der Veldenzer Birne. Danach kommen wir, vorbei am Alten Schloss mit Veldenzturm, zur Roseninsel mit dem Sombernon Denkmal.Die Alte Brücke über die Lauter begeistert uns danach genauso wie die Weinpresse, zwei Kirchen und das Rathaus. Bei der Nepomukstatue auf der Brücke über die Glan endet unser Besuch in Lauterecken.

Bei unserem Besuch in Kusel (rund 5.400 Einwohner - Rheinland-Pfalz) haben wir uns besonders den Marktplatz mit Rathaus, das Stadt- und Heimatmuseum und die evangelische Stadtkirche angeschaut. Natürlich hätten wir zur Untermalung gerne Musik mit dem bekanntesten Sohn der Stadt Fritz Wunderlich verwendet. Dazu fehlen uns aber leider die Rechte.

Kirn to Bad Salzig Rhein Germany Drive Covid Time: Feb 2021
A drive in the German backroads and thru some villages from Kirn to Bad Salzig for a nice walk in the hills above the Rhine. Little did we know some of the villages we drove past (near the end) would end up walking back to the outskirts and then back to Bad Salzig.
The hiking video will be published next week.
I broke a spring left side front and this is the trip I think I did it on because the video started getting bumpy on the autobahn part and a few small parts of the video were taken out.
Drive from Kirn Dunoon to Sandbank Holy Loch Scotland
A Sunday afternoon drive from Kirn, Dunoon, to Sandbank, on the Holy Loch.
Filmed in Argyll, this area is well known for being the home to the US Navy in Scotland up until 1992. The USS Simon Lake being the best known ship to have berthed in the Holy Loch.
We pass Hunters Quay Holiday Village and the Western Ferries terminal on the River Clyde before the view of Benmore at the head of the Holy Loch opens up before us.
Oberwesel, Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt im Oberen Mittelrheintal
Wir beginnen unseren Rundgang durch Oberwesel, einer Stadt im UNESCO-Welterbe Oberes Mittelrheintal, an der begehbaren Stadtmauer. Dabei besichtigen wir verschiedene Türme und genießen den Rheinblick. Die evangelische Kirche von 1899, die Katharinen Kapelle, das Rathaus und der Marktplatz sowie die Reste des Minoritenklosters liegen danach auf unserem Weg. Mit einem Blick auf die Liebfrauenkirche endet unser Besuch in Oberwesel.
