Königsberg was the historic German and Prussian name of the city that is now Kaliningrad, Russia.
A Baltic port city, it successively became the capital of the State of the Teutonic Order, the Duchy of Prussia and the provinces of East Prussia and Prussia.
Königsberg was the easternmost large city in Germany until World War II.
It is now the capital of Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast, an exclave bordered in the north by Lithuania and in the south by Poland.
Water Springs of Leningrad Region, Russia (Part 1/2) St Petersburg Area
September, 18-19th, joined the expedition of Saint Petersburg bloggers in collaboration with Russian Geology Society to explore the natural water springs located in Leningrad Region (which is actually St Petersburg region as Leningrad is the name of the city during Soviet Times).
We were checking the water springs by GPS-locations which people sent to Russian Geology Society and were taking the probes in each spring for further expertise of Russian Geology laboratory.
After there's going to be a whole online map of water springs with exact GPS-locations and the main thing results of an expertise.

The place where the last Russian emperor was born and lived
The Alexander Palace is a former imperial palace about 48 kilometers (30 miles) south of Saint Petersburg. The Alexander Palace encircled by magnificent Alexander Park near to the larger and pompous Catherine Palace and Catherine Parks .
Because of the privacy it provided the Alexander Palace was the preferred residence of the last Russian Emperor, Nicholas II and his family. Its safety and remoteness contrasted favourably with the Winter Palace during the years directly prior to the Russian Revolution. In 1917, the Alexander palace became the family’s initial place of isolation after the first of two Russian Revolutions in February, which abolished the House of Romanov during First World War.

Eclipse is the first fine dining restaurant in St. Petersburg based on local farm and forest products. Since the opening (March 2020), the chef has already presented three tasted menus. Why is it special? Here is the answer: unique products and creative culinary style.

Have you ever tried white snail caviar that is more expensive than black caviar? One farmer collects only 500-700 grams of this caviar per year. The price is 150 euros for 30 grams. The original name is «snail eggs». But in order to introduce the product into the gastronomic world, it was given the name «caviar».
How about crowberry? A berry that is not sold anywhere, it can only be harvested in a wild land of Karelia.
“Each menu is a new challenge, a new expression and a search for new meanings. The team and I agreed that we will change the menu four times a year, being tied not to the calendar, but to the season” — says chef Sergey Fokin.
Sergey Fokin's inspiration is based on wild products, autumn berries, viburnum, mountain ash and hawthorn, white lichen, wild hazel, chestnuts and acorns, root crops and a birch leaf. All of these act as spices to complement and enhance the flavors.
