Arusha is a city in north eastern Tanzania and the capital of the Arusha Region, with a population of 416,442 plus 323,198 in the surrounding Arusha Rural District (2012 census).Located below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, Arusha has a temperate climate. The city is close to the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Mount Meru in the Arusha National Park and is thus considered the safari capital of Tanzania.

Arusha is a major international diplomatic hub. It hosts the East African Community. From 1994 to 2015, the city also hosted the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, but that entity has ceased operations. It is a multicultural city with a majority Tanzanian population of mixed backgrounds: indigenous African, Arab-Tanzanian and Indian-Tanzanian population, plus a small European and an American minority population. Religions of the Arushan population include Christianity, Islam, Sikhism and Hinduism. In 2018 it was declared Arusha would be the capital city of the proposed East African Federation as it was seen as a neutral city due to its significance to the whole of East Africa.... (wikipedia)

Kibaha to Kimara - Tanzania #Shorts

For those who have had a chance to pass this road back those days will recall the amount of time spent on traffic when coming from other regions, from the old weighbridge in Kibaha to Kimara is now 6 lane road (3 on each side) and has reduced the traffic tremendously, no more standing for 2-3 hours to reach Ubungo.

Top 15 Countries in Africa With World Class Roads in 2023

Namibia, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, Morocco, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ghana and Nigeria are among countries in Africa with the most developed Roads. African Countries have made major strides in terms of Infrastructural Development. A sector that has experienced rapid growth and upgrade is the roads and highways sectors. It is however worth noting that these developments have been financed and constructed by outside grants from majorly china with little input from the Local governments. Regardless in the Long Run after the completion of the repayment of the Loans, the roads remains owned by the respective African countries. It is therefore a win win situation in both parties. Some countries, like Tanzania however have complained of being exploited by the Chinese suggesting that the deal only favors the Chinese in the Long Run putting the country into huge debts.

Exploring Dar es salam city,TANZANIA-Largest city in east Africa 2022,Things you need to know about.

Dar es Salaam is the largest city in Tanzania. With its location on the Indian Ocean coast, separated from the island of Zanzibar by the Zanzibar Channel, it is also the manufacturing and commercial center of the nation. The city began as a fishing village in the mid-19th Century and gradually became an established port and trading center.
The site of Dar es Salaam was originally a small village named Mzizima (Kiswahili for healthy town) dating back to 1857. Later, it became the site of plantations growing cassava, millet and maize.DAR ES SALAAM,an Arabic name meaning “haven of peace,” was formally founded by the Majid bin Sayyid (c. 1834-1870), the Sultan of Zanzibar, in 1866. The city fell into decline after the death of the Sultan in 1870 but its fortunes were revived when the German East Africa Company established a trading station there in 1887. As the German colonial presence in east Africa grew, Dar es Salaam became the administrative and commercial center of the colony. In 1900 it became the eastern terminus of the Central Railway Line that ran into the interior of German East Africa.
British forces took control of Dar es Salaam and German East Africa during World War I.  They renamed the colony Tanganyika but retained Dar es Salaam as the capital.  The British also legalized the informal residential segregation of the city that began under the Germans.  There was a European section (Oyster Bay) and two African sections (Kariakoo and Ilala). Eventually a fourth section was developed for Asians.
Dar es Salaam grew rapidly after World War II and soon became the center of anti-colonial agitation led by the Tanganyika African National Union (TANU) founded in the city.  When Tanganyika became independent in 1961, Dar es Salaam became its first capital, a position it continued to have when Tanganyika and Zanzibar merged in 1964 to become Tanzania.  Although the interior city of Dodoma was announced as the new capital of Tanzania in 1973, Dar es Salaam continues to be the location of most government offices.
Dar es Salaam is the home of a number of universities including Ardhi University and the University of Dar es Salaam. The population of the city in 2002 was 2.5 million, of which  approximately 40% is Muslim and 30% is Christian.

DAR ES SALAAM Family Friendly Beach in Tanzania | Mikadi Beach KIGAMBONI

***Make sure you hit the caption button so you don't miss anything I am saying.

Follow me as I go on a fun day trip to #MikadiBeach, Kigamboni for my friends birthday party. I even got to ride the ferry which is always a lot of fun!

Fun fact: Mikadi Beach Camp derives its name from the Mikadi tree which thrives along the beautiful Tanzanian coastline, idyllically located on the beach in the Kigamboni area of Dar es Salaam, a lively and fun area. I found this to be a fun child friendly beach with beautiful white beaches and clear water. I loved the pool and the food was good too! There are lodges and places to stay on the beach, you can go camping, snorkeling and even organize boot trips. Highly recommend this beach for families!
