बल्देवगढ़ का किला मध्य प्रदेश की टीकमगढ़ जिले में बल्देवगढ़ तहसील में स्थित है। टीकमगढ़ शहर से लगभग 38 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है।
ओरछा रियासत की सबसे सुरक्षित नगरी बल्देवगढ़ मानी जाती है, जहां महाराजा विक्रमाजीत सिंह ने युद्ध सामग्री भंडारण एवं सैन्य अड्डा के लिए रियासत में सबसे उपयुक्त स्थान मानते हुए दुर्ग का निर्माण कराया गया था। जब महाराजा विक्रमादित्य सिंह ने मराठों के आतंक एवं लूट मारी से परेशान होकर सन् 1783 में राजधानी ओरछा से हटाकर टीकमगढ़ में स्थापित की, तो सैनिक अड्डा एवं युद्ध सामग्री भंडारण के लिए 55 से 70 एकड़ में दुर्ग का निर्माण कराया. जों सुरक्षा की हर कसौटी पर खरा पाया गया।
बुंदेलखंड में आज भी जब रौब जमाने की बात हो तो सहसा ही बल्देवगढ़ की तोप का नाम जुबान पर आ जाता है। जानकार बताते हैं कि इतिहास में सिर्फ एकबार ही तोप चली थी, जिसकी भयंकर गर्जना से क्षेत्र में बड़ी संख्या में महिलाओं का गर्भपात हो गया था। इसलिए खलका की तोप को गर्भगिरावन नाम से भी जाना जाता है।
Baldeogarh is a town and a nagar panchayat in Tikamgarh district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. Baldeogarh is located at 24.75°N 79.07°E. It has an average elevation of 319 metres (1046 feet). The headquarters town of the Baldeogarh is a tehsil of the same name. It is situated on the Tikamgarh-Chhattarpur road at distance of 26 km. from Tikamgarh. The massive rock fort standing above the beautiful tank Gwal-Sagar, presents a very pleasing sight. The fort is a very fine specimen of its class and one of the most picturesque in the region. A big old Gun is still placed in this fort.
