EP 12 - Jamnagar Saurashtra Tour, Jamnagar food, places to visit, Gujarat Tourism
We started Saurashtra tour form Rajkot, we went to Junagadh, Gir, Diu, Somnath ji and Dwarka ji then finally we reached jamnagar and ended our journey there.
This tour was started on 22nd feb 2021 and we ended the tour on 9th march 2021
Following are the places we visited as part of this tour-
Lakhota lake - This is an awesome place, locals come here to relax, spend some good time in evening and do morning and evening walk at this place.
JD bead - we had bread katka and jota here at this eatery, this was at a 15 min walking distance from Lakhota lake.
Lakhota lake we came back in the night and next day morning also we started our day from there.
President hotel - we stayed there - stay was neither good nor bad, over all little better than average, we paid rs 2000 plus tax as room tariff.
Bal Hanuman mandir - we visited this temple, since 1964 chanting of Ram Dhun is going on, this temple is right outside Lakhota lake
Ahmedabadi Dal Pakwan wala - Juna udyog - Bhareli poori and Dal pakwan - Breakfast was tasty.
Brass casting and machine making unit - we visited a unit in industrial area to see how casting happens. Brass work of Jamnagar is famous and there are many units over there that do brass work.
Brahmaniya dining hall - we had Gujarati Thali at this restaurant good food - cost Rs 160 per thali
Kala sanskruti - we saw Jamnagar Bandhani saree and Dupatta at this shop.
Mukhwas - This shop is famous at a walking distance efrom Kala sanskruti shop
Jain vijay farsan - famous sweet shop , popular for kachori and other items.

is one of the most beautiful and serene places of Jamnagar. Being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city, the lake stands as the perfect picture of serenity. It is also known as the Ranmal Lake.
2.0 Bala Hanuman Temple :
also known as Shri Balahanuman Sankirtan Mandir is situated at the south east side of Lakhota Lake. Dedicated to Lord Hanuman temple houses the idols of Lord Ram, Lord Lakshman, Goddess Sita and Lord Hanuman.
3.0 Ayurved University :
The world’s first ayurvedic university, founded in 1967. It has played a big part in the revival of ayurvedic medicine.
4.0 Darbargadh / Willingdon Crescent :
the old royal residence Of Jam Saheb and the most important historical complex in Jamnagar, reflects the fusion of Rajput and European styles of architecture.
Presently one can go for shopping in this area.
5.0 Jam Ranjitsinhji Park (Ranjit Sagar Dam) :
King Jam Ranjitsinh ji urged to start construction of ‘Ranjit Sagar’ but was completed in 1938. The Municipal Corporation of Jamnagar has recently developed a Park near Ranjit Sagar Dam. The park has a beautiful garden with colourful fountains.
6.0 BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple :
This Temple is situated at the outskirts of the city, Near Samrpan Hospital on Dwarka road. The sculptures, carvings on the wall and details is a treat to the eye.
7.0 Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary :
Around 12 km from Jamnagar, Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary, home to a number of resident and migratory birds, is located in an area stretching up to 6 Sq km.

Just 26 km away from the bustling city life, one can achieve perfect tranquillity on the coast of Jamnagar in Balachadi Beach.

જામનગર ખંભાળિયા રાેડ પર આવેલ કબીર લહેર તળાવ.
તળાવ બનારસમાં લહેર તળાવમાં કબીર સાહેબ પ્રગટ થયા હતાં. તેમની સ્મૃતિમાં 20 વર્ષ પહેલા કબીર આશ્રમના મહંત જગદીશદાસજી મહારાજે નિર્માણ કર્યુ હતું.
હવે ત્યાં હરવા-ફરવાના સ્થળ તરીકે અને પાણીથી ભરેલા સૌદર્યનો આનંદ લોકો લઇ તે હેતુથી બેસવા, બાળકો રમી શકે તેવી વ્યવસ્થા કરાય છે,
