And you have to cross the river to see the deer in the deer park by rickshaw for two to three kilometers.
To see many deer together at Deer Park you have to come at 8am and 4pm.
After the Deer Park horse you come back to the board and from there return to Mukutmanipur.

The pitch black road from Jhargram to Belpahari is thickly forested with a variety of tropical trees on both sides. The place is surrounded by Sal, Mahua, Piyal, Sonajhuri and Eucalyptus trees. The peaceful and serene environment of this village is mesmerizing. A beautiful waterfalls is located at Ghagra, little distance away from Belpahari. - Jamshedpur-Mukutmanipur road is delightful
- Some livestock on the road here and there, so normal driving speed is best.
- Better to fill up fuel before journey, as there are just one or two petrol pumps on this route.
- Roadside shops sell petrol in bottles (I got 2 litres, seemed fine)
In this video, I am trying to capture and showcase the beauty of Mukutmanipur, West Bengal. I visited here as a day visit, spent my day sightseeing, taking pics, enjoying nature and really had a great time here.
It is a great place as a day visit or an extended stay over the weekend.

প্লান:-
সকাল ৯ -১০ টার মধ্যে বেলপাহাড়ী পৌঁছতে পারলে ভালো হয়। মোটামুটি সকাল ৯ টা থেকে বিকেল ৫ টা।এক্ষেত্রে দুই পার্টে আপনার ভ্রমণ ভাগ করে নিন। প্রথম পার্ট লাঞ্চ এর আগে।দ্বিতীয় পার্ট লাঞ্চ এর পরে। উপরের লিস্ট থেকে ১ - ৫ নং(লালজল,ময়ূর ঝর্ণা,কাঁকড়া ঝোর, কেটকি ঝর্ণা ও হুদহুদী জলপ্রপাত) পর্যন্ত লাঞ্চ এর আগে। ৬-৯ ( গাররাসিনি, খান্দারানী, তারাফেনী ড্যাম ও ঘাগরা)লাঞ্চ এর পরে। এই দু পার্টে ভাগ করে নিম্নলিখিত পথ বরাবর যাত্রা করলে আপনাকে একই পথে বার বার ঘুরপাক খেতে হবে না।
. প্রসঙ্গত বলে রাখা ভালো, উপরের বহুল পরিচিত জায়গাগুলো ছাড়াও রয়েছে:-
ক) মাকুরভুলা-চাতরা জলপ্রপাত (বেলপাহাড়ী র দীর্ঘতম জলপ্রপাত)
খ) পবন পাহাড় (চিতি পাহাড়//বালি চুয়া)
গ) হাঁসা ডুঙরি (শ্বেত পাথরের পাহাড়/কেন্দা পাড়া)
ঘ) গজপাথর/তুলসিবনী সরোবর
ঙ) কানাইসর পাহাড়
চ) গজ ডুঙরি
ছ) চাতন ডু ঙ রি আদিম মানুষের গুহা ও সানসেট ভিউ পয়েন্ট

বিশেষ কিছু কথা:
১. বেলপাহাড়ী পর্যটনে এলে অবশ্যই আগে থেকে লাঞ্চ বা ডিনার অর্ডার দিয়ে রাখবেন। নইলে খাবার সব সময় পাওয়া নাও যেতে পারে।লাঞ্চ এর জন্যে অর্ডার দেওয়ার আদর্শ সময় সকাল ১০ টার মধ্যে। ডিনার এর জন্যে সন্ধ্যার আগেই অর্ডার দিয়ে রাখলে ভালো।
২. বেলপাহাড়ী তে বিশাল বড় লাক্সারি হোটেল বা রিসোর্ট নেই। যে গুলো আছে ,সব গুলোই 'হোম স্টে'।সকল হোম স্টে তে যে এ.সি , এটাচ ল্যাট্রিন টয়লেট,গিজার্ড, টিভি ইত্যাদি পাবেন ,তার নিশ্চয়তা নেই।
৩. এখানে ডাবল বেড এর নন এ.সি রুম এর ভাড়া মোটামুটি ১০০০-১২০০ টাকা। এ.সি রুমের ভাড়া মোটা মুটি ১৫০০-১৮০০।
৪. কাঁকড়াঝোরে যে সকল হোম স্টে আছে ,সেখানে বেশির ভাগ হোম স্টে তে প্রতি দিন থাকা ও খাওয়া হিসাবে জন প্রতি মোটামুটি ১৩০০ -১৫০০ টাকা খরচ পরে।
৫. বেলপাহাড়ী কে কেন্দ্র করে আপনি ঝিলিমিলি,মুকুট মনিপুর,দুয়ারসিনী-ভালো পাহাড়, ঘাটসিলা , ঝাড়গ্রাম ঘুরে দেখে নিতে পারেন। সব জায়গায় দূরত্ব বেলপাহাড়ী থেকে ৪০-৫৫ কিমি এর মধ্যেই। এমন কি অযোধ্যা পাহাড় এখান থেকে ১১৭ কিমি।
৬. এখান কার বহু পর্যটন স্থানে যেতে গেলে বাইক কিংবা একটু উঁচু চাকার গাড়ি হলে বাড়তি সুবিধা পাবেন।
৭. বেলপাহাড়ী বিডিও অফিস এর 'তারাফেনী কটেজ' ও 'পঞ্চায়েত সমিতি এর গেস্ট হাউস' কোভিভ এর কারণে বন্ধ আছে। এমনকি ফরেস্ট অফিসের 'জংগল ক্যাম্প ' ও বন্ধ আছে।
৮. বেলপাহাড়ী তে তেমন কোনো গাইড পাওয়া যায় না। বিশেষ প্রয়োজনে গাইড দরকার হলে যোগাযোগ করতে পারেন

1. JHARGRAM RAJ BARI:
The Jhargram Raj Palace is the current residence of the Malla Deb Royal family,it is a structure combining the Gothic and Muslim architectural modes. About 15 of the rooms in the ground floor have been converted into a Heritage Hotel. The Jhargram Raj Palace is an opulent Gothic structure built in 1931 AD, this palace was designed by the Calcutta Improvement Trust during the reign of Raja Narasingha Malla Deb Bahadur. The Palacial Guest House is a part of the Jhargram Raj Palace it has been a host to several dignitaries right from it's inception.
2.CHILKIGARH KANAK DURGA MANDIR :
At distance of 12 Kms from Jhargram. 1KM from Kanak Durga Temple. It is a historical place. Long wall around the Palace to protect from Borgi. It is the main tributary of the Subarnarekha. It originates in the north-west portion of the division near Dulungdiha and runs generally in a southern direction near the western boundary of the division till it enters Jamboni Police Station. While passing through this police station from north to south it is joined by the Kupon river, Bashi Khal, Polpala Khal, Deb river and Putrangi Khal. Thereafter, it enters Gopiballavpur Police Station where its general direction is from west to east and then Sankrail police station where it again runs in a southernly direction and joins the Subarnarekha.
3.SAVITRI MANDIR :
The 350-year-old Savitri temple is possibly the oldest structure in Jhargram. Legend has it that Savitri Devi inspired Rajput warrior Sarveshwar Singh to remain back at Junglekhand. The stone idol of the Devi is being worshipped for several centuries.Goddess Sabitri is the ancestral deity of the Malla Deb dynasty of Jhargram, she is worshipped in form of Durga.
4.GHAGRA WATER FALLS:
The place is around 41 KM from Jhargram. It should be visited during monsoon to see its real beauty. The surroundings forest area is also beautiful and hours can be spent. I visited in the month of December and luckily there was a rain in the night. So I experienced a better view. It is not understood why the State Govt encourages picnics and DJ boxes at such a beautiful place for all kind of pollution.Since there is no option for stay the Home stay concept can be adopted by the local people which could be economically beneficial for them'.

Day 1 -
Board Ispat Express (06:35) / Janashatabdi express (06:20) from Howrah and reach Ghatshila Station. Reserve an auto for Bhalo Pahar, Kuchia (35km). 2 nights stay here. On the way you will meet Satgurum river, Duarsini temple and some scenic places. Once reached, freshen up and have lunch. In the afternoon explore the surroundings, nursery, school building, forest, lake and one of the most beautiful sunset on Dalma Range. Take rest and blend with the local culture.
Day 2 -
Reserve a car. Firstly visit Laljal caves. A small trekk to the top. Next up visit Khandarani lake and Gadrasini hills. Again a trekk to the top to witness a 360 degree panaromic view from the top. At the bottom of the hill there is Brahmarshi Satyanand Sanyas Ashram. Have lunch at Pabitra Homestay and restaurant. Go for Dhangikusum waterfalls and Ghagra waterfalls. Return to Bhalo Pahar via Kankrajhor.
Day 3 -
Reserve a car/auto. Visit Duarsini Eco-tourism, dharagiri falls, Mini-Darjeeling viewpoint, and Burudi lake. Return to Ghatshila Station and board train (Preferrably Janashatabdi Exp(17:31)).
