KEILA Waterfall | Schloss Fall Manor | Estonia
Keila Waterfall (Estonian: Keila juga) is a waterfall in Northern Estonia on Keila River. It is the third most powerful waterfall in Estonia after Narva and Jägala. It is 6 meters high and 60–70 meters wide.
Knight's Manor Schloss Fall, that emerged already in the 16th century next to Keila River and one of Estonia's most beautiful waterfall, has seen different times throughout history: it has been grand and glorious, but also forgotten... The castle's history is a fascinating and lively snapshot of Estonian history, linking it to the mighty empires, shiny rulers and big personalities. According to the legend, it was here in 1833 that the future imperial Russian national anthem was first performed during a visit of the Russian Emperor Nikolai I.

This footage is from my summer trip to Europe, to Estonia and it's capital Tallinn. It is bordered to the north by the Gulf of Finland with Finland on the other side, to the west by the Baltic Sea with Sweden on the other side.
This is the Keila-Joa Waterfall, the third most powerful waterfall in Estonia. It is 6 meters high and around 70 meters wide what makes it look really huge. It is approx 30km from Tallinn in the middle of a picturesque area. Too many words, just take a look! ;-)

HARJU County Local Museum | Keila | Estonia
Harju County Museum was founded in 1988, and it collects, researches, preserves, and mediates the heritage of Harju County in cooperation with other museums, organizations, and the community. The museum gives counsel to small museums in Harju County, produces exhibitions, publishes prints and arranges educational events for both children and grown-ups.
Harju County Museum is in the main building of Keila Manor and is situated in the historical manor park on the Keila River Island. In the close quarters of the museum you will find the darkly legendary Slave Stone, the ruins of a small medieval stronghold, and the scenic Keila River with its historical swimming spots. Hence, it is a good idea to reserve some time for the museum visit, because the entire river island is worth exploring.
In addition to the permanent exhibition ‘Harju Life’, the museum offers temporary exhibitions exploring a wider variety of themes. The museum has a separate playroom for children, which also offers nostalgic activities for adults. If you interested in regional studies, go have a look in the museum library and archive.

[RUS] Предыстория музея Харьюмаа берет свое начало осенью 1985 года, когда по инициативе собравшейся в Кейла группы любителей краеведения и защиты памятников старины было создано Общество охраны памятников старины Кейла.
Музей Харьюмаа был официально учрежден 30 августа 1988 года, а к работе приступил в начале 1989 года. В те дни музей располагался в 7 комнатах бывшей мызы Кейла, где был выполнен самый необходимый санремонт. В настоящее время музей Харьюмаа действует в относящемся к 19 веку главном здании мызы Кейла, которое находится в историческом усадебном парке на речном острове. Рядом с музеем находится овеянный мрачной легендой древний Рабский камень, развалины средневекового укрепления и живописно извилистая река Кейла с купальными местами. Для посещения музея следует запастить временем, поскольку ознакомиться стоит со всем речным островом.
Музей Харьюмаа занимается сбором, изучением и сохранением исторического наследия Харьюмаа в сотрудничестве с другими музеями и организациями, а также общественностью. Музей консультирует действующие в Харьюмаа малые музеи, составляет экспозиции, выпускает печатные издания и проводит образовательные программы для детей и взрослых. Благодаря доверительному сотрудничеству с общественностью, многие экспозиционные проекты осуществились именно при помощи частных коллекций.
В дополнение к постоянной экспозиции «Жизнь Харью», музей также предлагает посетителям ознакомиться с временными выставками, детально освещающими различные темы. Для детей есть игровая комната, где занятия по душе, приглашающие вернуться в детство, найдутся и для взрослых. В распоряжении краеведов – музейный архив и богатая библиотека.

Welcome To Estonia - Keila Waterfall (Watch in 4K)
Keila waterfall is located on Keila River in Harju County, Keila rural municipality, Keila-Joa small town.
A full 6 metres high, and tens of metres wide, Keila waterfall is the third largest waterfall in Estonia; after the Narva and Jägala waterfalls. There is a road from the park along the riverbed, crossing two suspension bridges, to the waterfall.
Interesting fact:
There is a renovated hydroelectric power plant at the Keila waterfall and one of the grandest renovated manor houses in Estonia, inspired by the Neo-Gothic style, is located in the vicinity. You can also explore the exciting landscape over a 3 km Keila-Joa Park nature trail.

St. Michael’s (Miikaeli) Church in Keila Estonia
History Keila Church is the biggest medieval country church in Harju county, which was obviously established shortly after the North-Estonias subjection to the Danish king. There is no information about the early years of the church, but at about 1280 there was established a spacious square chapel at Keila hill, where today there is the chancel of the church.

Keila Joa Manor & Keila Waterfall, Estonia 2016
Keila-Joa is a small borough in Lääne-Harju Parish, Harju County, northern Estonia. It has a population of 373 (as of 1 January 2019). The Estonian name Keila-Joa literally means Keila Falls, named after the river, distinguishing it from the town of Keila.
The borough is home to the third most powerful waterfall in Estonia, Keila Waterfall. In Keila-Joa there is also a small hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 365 kW.
There has been a manor house on the site of Keila-Joa manor (German: Schloss Fall) since the 17th century. The present manor house was built in 1831–1833 and designed by St. Petersburg architect Andrei Stackenschneider. The manor represents one of the earliest examples of neo-Gothic architecture in Estonia. It was built for the family of count Alexander von Benckendorff (whose graves can be found in the park adjacent to the manor) and the building saw many prominent guests during the Imperial years, among others the Russian royal family, famous soprano Henriette Sontag and composer Alexei Lvov.
From 1927 to 1940 it was used by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the Soviet occupation it was used by the Red Army.
The Keila Waterfall is a waterfall in Northern Estonia on Keila River. It is the third most powerful waterfall in Estonia after Narva and Jägala. It is 20 feet high and 200–230 feet wide.
