Bolata Beach near cape Kaliakra, Kavarna city 4K Walk Tour
Bolata is an area located on the bay of the same name and is part of the Kaliakra reserve. It is located in the northern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast near the village of Balgarevo and near a former military station.
The area is a wetland of great importance for several rare plant and animal species. The sandy beach is of natural origin and is unique for the rocky shores in the area of Kaliakra.
A small river forms a narrow gorge and flows into the swamp Bolata (Lake Bolata) with an area of 23 ha, overgrown with a vast mass of reeds. The limestone rocks in the area are red due to the iron oxides in the clay that fills their cracks.
The bay is also part of the protected area Kaliakra Complex under NATURA 2000.
Remains of an ancient settlement and evidence of life from 400 BC have been found in the caves of Bolata, as well as the Maltese Cross - evidence of the trade of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom with Venice and Genoa. Stone circles, sacrificial stones, rock caves - dwellings were also found.
The beach is also widely known as a place for diving. A steep path to the north climbs to the top of the rock wall, which overlooks the entire gorge.
Bolata Bay is part of the Club The most beautiful bays in the world. Sunbathing and camping are allowed. There is no special regime and status of a forbidden zone. Access is allowed to vehicles, campers, caravans, bicycles and organized hiking. Cleaning is mandatory after each visit.

Hoteluri care au costat milioane de euro sau dolari, pentru a fi construite ,pe culmile vechilor munți ai Dobrogei din Bulgaria, din statiunea turistică Kavarna, au ajuns multe , acum in 2022 o ruină. Devastate de hoții din Bulgaria, de mobilier, și tot ceea ce mai avea acolo, ,căzi de baie, dușuri, oglinzi, instalație electrică etc. Unii dintre proprietarii hotelurilor de lux, din acest film nu mai sunt au decedat, alții au devenit nebuni, sau sunt infirmi de la infarct , alții au ajuns săraci de dorm pe străzi, din cauză că afacerea nu a mers, așa cum mulți credeau înaintea boom-ului imobiliar, când toată lumea investea în turism, în anii 2000-2010. foarte mulți dintre investitorii, în turismul bulgar, au fost englezii din UK si Germania. După căderea zidului Berlinului, cetățenii din Vestul Europei ,au putut intra mai ușor în țările Estul Europei, care nu aveau o infrastructură de turism foarte dezvoltată. Începând cu anii 1995-2000 ,mii de turiști au venit țările din est. De aici a început și prioritatea de a investi în turism, dar din păcate după anul 2010,viața sa scumpit și-n Est, masele de turiștii, au început să scadă, chiar si acei care si-au făcut case de vacanță, nu au avut cui să vândă, nu mai existau cumpărători ....și încetul cu încetul totul a ajuns o ruină. Unii dintre investitorii străini care au investit în turismul bulgar, au fost furați și mințiți, de către politicienii locali și chiar de către unii cetățeni bulgari.....ajung la uram urmelor,să falimenteze, mai mult sau mai puțin voit.

Cavarna, Kavarna sau Cărvuna este un mic oraș din regiunea Dobrici, Dobrogea de Sud, Bulgaria, aflat pe malul Mării Negre, la nord-est de Balcic. Înainte de 1320 a făcut parte din Țaratul Vlaho-Bulgar.
Statiunea Kavarna din Bulgaria (sau Cavarna) poate fi o destinatie potrivita daca ti-ai propus sa pleci un weekend prelungit aproape de Romania sau daca iti doresti o vacanta linistita si relaxanta intr-un loc mai retras, ferit de agitatie si aglomeratie.
Kavarna se afla la o distanta de 309 kilometri de Bucuresti, la doar 46,6 kilometri de Vama Veche si la aproximativ 61 de kilometri de Varna. Statiunea Kavarna este mica in comparatie cu celelalte statiuni de la malul Marii Negre din Bulgaria si gazduieste un port de iahturi (cu inca alte doua mici porturi in constructie), dar si terenuri profesioniste de golf.
Kavarna este potrivita pentru cei care cauta vacante in locuri lipsite de zgomotot si aglomeratie, asadar trebuie sa stii ca aici nu vei gasi viata de noapte sau posibilitati de distractie caracteristice altor statiuni.
