Walking in KAUFBEUREN / Germany ????????- Old Town in Allgäu - 4K 60fps (UHD)
Kaufbeuren is a town in Bavaria. Surrounded by the district of Ostallgäu the old town has the typical Bavarian flair with winding alleys.
We start our tour (October 2020) in the old town near the salt market and circle the St. Martins Church. We walk a bit towards the eastern edge of the old town with larger streets with more traffic. There we get to the Art Hall (Kunsthalle) with the Sywollenturm. We walk a bit further north along the old city walls, which was built in around 1200. We slip right through a small door in that wall back into the old town.
We check out more streets around the fruit market (Obstmarkt) and are back at the Kaiser-Max-Straße which leads us to the town hall. The Fünfknopfturm - a major attraction of Kaufbeuren on a hill - was closed so we have to skip the climb for another visit. The main parts of the old town however were now all visited so as an extra we once again head out of the city center. This time walk south .. to get back to the city hall once more from a different direction.
At last we leave the old town behind. On our way back to the train station we basically head for the city park. We reach that nice little park after a few minutes, where we end our Kaufbeuren tour.

Baden-Baden is a wealthy spa town at the edge of the Black Forest in Baden Württemberg. The town is located south west Germany, near the border with France - around 1 hour by car from Strasbourg.
Baden-Baden is famous for thermal bath and the Kurhaus complex (built in 1824) with the Spielbank (casino). That is the place where also Dostoevsky gambled during his 5 week stay which makes Baden-Baden a popular destination for Russian tourists.
On this walking tour of Baden-Baden we see the centre of the town, the spa area and some shopping streets. We also visit the main sights like the Spielbank and Trinkhalle and get an impression how Baden Baden looks like outside the main tourist season in fall.

Walking in HAMBURG / Germany ????????- St. Pauli - 4K 60fps (UHD)
The St. Pauli district of Hamburg / Germany is the main nightlife and entertainment area of the city. There are lively bars and nightclubs at the Reeperbahn as well as theaters like Schmidts Tivoli and Operettenhaus with cabaret shows and musicals.
We walk around St. Pauli on a September (2020) evening when the people start going out and the many bars and pubs open up.
Out tour start at the subway station Reeperbahn head to the Beatles Square from where we walk to the Große Freiheit and have stroll around the residential neighborhood. From the Kietz we switch to the other side with the famous Davidwache police station. We see more side streets before we head further east and end our walk near the St. Pauli subway station.
Note: the walk ends a but abruptly as I planned to walk up to the Bismarck monument. That was under reconstruction and could't be reached this time so I removed that part

How to get to Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany
Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most visited castles in the world. More than 1.3 million people visit it annually, with as many as 6,000 per day in the summer. It is located in the municipality of Schwangau near Füssen and it lies at an elevation of 800 m (2,620 ft) at the southwest border of the German state of Bavaria.
Neuschwanstein Castle can only be visited within a guided tour and you can book it directly at the official website without going through a third party. The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes. The admission ticket is valid for a guided tour of the castle at a specific time. Keep in mind that the guided tours start punctually; in the event of late arrival, participation in the guided tour is no longer possible and you may not be allowed to enter the castle. Reservation in advance is necessary due to the high demand.
Hiking from the ticket center to the castle gate can take up to 45 minutes so make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before your guided tour starts.
Photos and videos are not allowed inside the castle.
✅ How do you get to the castle?
If you are coming from Munich, take a train from Munich Central Station to Füssen. There is a direct train every 2 hours. There is also an additional connecting service that operates every two hours as well, requiring a change of trains in Kaufbeuren. Both the direct train and the other train with a connection in Kaufbeuren take approximately 2 hours to reach Füssen.
Once you arrive at Füssen’s train station, take bus number 78. The bus station is just right next to the train station. The bus is clearly marked for the Hohenschwangau castles. You will see a lot of tourists rushing to board a bus, you really can’t miss it.
The bus will take you to Hohenschwangau where the ticket office of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles is located. The bus ride takes approximately 5 minutes. Keep in mind that if you already booked a ticket online at the official website of Neuschwanstein castle, you WILL NOT need to enter the ticket center to redeem your ticket. Your online ticket should be good enough.
From the ticket center, you have 3 options to reach the castle gate:
1. You can hike all the way to the castle gate. This can take up to 45 minutes. This is what I did to reach the castle. I recommend hiking because you will enjoy the scenery along the way.
2. You can take a horse-drawn carriage ride. This can take up to 25 minutes. You will still have to walk for about 5 minutes because the horse-drawn carriage does not take you to the gate.
3. You can take a shuttle. The shuttle takes you to Marienbrücke viewpoint where the bridge is located. That bridge offers a great view of the castle. You will still have to walk for about 15 minutes to reach the castle gate.
