(PD질문)” “약 두 시간 정도 나갑니다” 호수는 주민들의 삶터다. 하지만 가뭄 때문에 어획량이 줄어 걱정이 많다. 그래도 호수는 주민들의 희망을 저버리진 않는가 보다. 소년이 직접 잡은 생선을 보여주며 자랑한다. 크기가 어마어마하다. 잡은 생선은 그 자리에서 비늘을 벗겨 말린 후 판매한다. 카세니이는 마을 주민이 천명도 안되는 전형적인 어촌이다. 마을에서는 점심준비가 한창이다. 생선조림은 우리의 김치처럼 늘 밥상에 오른다. 우리나라 호떡과 비슷한 이 부침개는 바나나와 밀가루를 혼합해 만든 것으로 이름은 ‘짜파티’다. 나는 도미와 비슷한 텔레피아 3마리를 우리 돈 5천원에 사서 인근 식당에 튀겨 달라고 부탁했다. 맛있는 소리가 귀를 자극한다. “일단 튀김 생선 맛을 한번 보시면 더 달라고 계속 저를 괴롭힐 것입니다” 회나 구이로만 먹던 생선을 통째로 튀긴 맛은 과연 어떨까. 상상이 되지 않았다. 맛있는 건 나눠먹으면 더 맛있는 법. 생선 맛은 기가 막혔다. 더 먹고 싶은 마음이 굴뚝같았지만 오래돼 보이는 튀김 기름이 식욕을 눌렀다. 어부에게는 그물이 무기다. 전쟁터에 나가기 전 총을 손보는 병사처럼 이들은 매일 그물을 관리한다. 욕심을 허락하지 않는 자연. 자연에 순응해 살아가는 사람들. 이들은 만선을 기대하지도 않는다. 다만 호수가 내어주는 대로 받아들일 뿐이다.

This video shows a new discovery of the seven waterfalls on one river in Kasese District in a village called Kisamba.
The waterfalls / attractions are owned by the community which does most of the activities like, guiding, paths finding, cleaning , and bee keeping project which is a project that was sponsored by the UWA through Mount Rwenzori National park.
The video and the tour is all sponsored by Joseph who is the team leader palm tours and travel because of his passion and curiosity and love for nature more so for Kasese where he is born and raised, he is passionate about tourism (community tourism) which he says he wants to tell stories and unveil what Kasese has in terms of culture, physical features, Nature and many more, he believes UGANDA IS CALLED THE PEARL OF AFRICA BEACAUSE OF KASESE.

My country has ten National Parks and they include Queen Elizabeth, Lake Mburo, Murchison Falls, Kidepo Valley, Kibale, Mount Elgon, Rwenzori Mountains, Semuliki, Mgahinga Gorilla, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks. These parks display the best in East Africa. Their Rift Valley landscapes and tropical forests make dramatic backdrops to an extensive variety of flora and fauna.
Two years ago, I set off and began my journey to visit them all. It hasn’t been an easy journey but it was worth it. Here is what it’s been like!

Rwenzori Mountains National Park in Kasese.
The Rwenzori Mountains National Park provides stunning views of glacier and snow-capped mountains just kilometres from the equator, where it is contiguous with the Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Having the third highest mountain in Africa at 5,109 m (after Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya), the Park includes a much larger alpine area than either, covering an area of 99,600 ha of which 70% lies at over 2,500 m in height. The Rwenzori Mountains are the highest and most permanent sources of the River Nile, and constitute a vital water catchment. Their multitude of fast flowing rivers, magnificent waterfalls and stratified vegetation make the property exceptionally scenic and beautiful. The mountains are well-known for their unique alpine flora which includes many species endemic to the Albertine Rift in the higher altitude zones including giant heathers, groundsels and lobelias. The Park also supplies local communities with various wild resources and is an important cultural heritage.

Uganda | Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise - Queen Elizabeth National Park
26th of March 2021 we arrive Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda on time enough to join the Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise. This is a very good way of experiencing the wildlife and nature in this park. After this you could also choose to do a game drive to take in the rest of the what the park has to offer.

2 Friends having a full hour of village walk and sun down moment of fun with one of their best long time friend who had not visited them (visiting Bwera) for a while, and the Kisolholho - Kitholhu cable bridge in Bukonzo west constituency Kasese district was their main site and attraction for the Evening. This place is one of the best places for sundown and site seeing/viewing as it over looks the Uganda-D.R Congo boarder.
