Chingola to SOLWEZI ¦¦ Bus trip

Solwezi is 170Km from Chingola.
I visited Solwezi for the first time and enjoyed the ride

Theres a lot of mining activity in North Western province at Kansanshi, Lumwana and Kalumbila mines.

Solwezi leads on to Kasempa, Zambezi, Chavuma and Mwinilunga among other places.

Solwezi || Kifubwa National Monument ????|| Zambian YouTuber ????????

I went to the Kifubwa National Monument. ???? A bit history of the place it is approximately three kilometers south of Solwezi, you’ll find the Kifubwa (aka Chifubwa) Stream Rock Shelter, one of Zambia's National Monument. It was discovered by archaeologist, Desmond Clark who excavated the cave in 1961, finding rock paintings which were quite unique. Not only were they the only etchings found in Zambia but they were also painted.????

Enjoy the Video ????✨

Kafue National Park in Zambia: African Safari Diary #7

Covering more than 22,500 sq km (8687 sq mi), Kafue National Park is the largest in Zambia and one of the biggest in the world. With terrain ranging from the lush riverine forest of the Kafue River to the vast grassland of the Busanga Plains, the park rewards wildlife enthusiasts with glimpses of various carnivores and their nimble prey, including a good chance of sighting lions and leopards, and if you're lucky cheetahs in the north of the park, plus elephants, zebras and numerous species of antelope. There are some 500 species of birds too.

Kafue is one of the few parks in Zambia that’s easily accessible by public transport, with a handful of camps just off the highway.

Roaring Lions & African Wild Dogs || African Safari Adventures - Episode 2 - Chiawa Camp, Zambia

Welcome to Africa and the amazing Chiawa Camp in the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia. This is Episode 2 out of 4. We visit 3 camps (11 nights total) in Zambia, 2 nights in Livingstone, Victoria Falls and another camp (4 nights) in the spectacular Okavango Delta in Botswana. We will dedicate one episode per camp.

We have been to Africa on safari 2 times before including the Okavango Delta, the Serengeti in Tanzania, Kruger National Park in South Africa and we have also visited the mountain Gorillas in Uganda. All these experiences have been fantastic but question is if Zambia is not a new favourite.

We are thrilled to be able to bring you a little closer into the experience of Safari in Africa, this is absolutely something you need to have on your bucket list. Just be aware, once you have been you will want to come back over and over again… ????

We hope you will enjoy and if you do please subscribe and give the video a thumbs up!

Q & A with Proflight Zambia Pilot Cpt Chanda Katongo

Kikonkomene Leprosy Village

In the hills outside Kasempa, Zambia there is a village called Kikonkomene. The village is unique because all the people living there have had leprosy at some point in their lives. Although they don't currently have leprosy, they still struggle with the devastating effects the disease has had on their bodies. Most of them don't have use of their hands or feet and many have had limbs completely amputated. Due to these physical limitations they have been unable to work for a very long time, and no work means no source of income. To make matters worse, the social stigma surrounding the disease has caused many relatives to abandon these family members, leaving them to fend for themselves. Because they cannot work and have no source of income, most are entirely dependent on donations and aide from outside groups.

This video is of our Dec. trip to visit Kikonkomene. Because of the generosity of so many, we were able to purchase mattresses for each leper and also had the blessing of providing them with fish, oil, soap, shoes, and socks. Thank to all who made this possible.
