मध्य प्रदेश के मध्य में स्थित नरसिंहपुर 5000 वर्ग किमी. के क्षेत्रफल में फैला हुआ है। उत्तर में विन्ध्याचल और दक्षिण में सतपुड़ा की पहाड़ियों से घिरे नरसिंहपुर पर प्रकृति खूब मेहरबान हुई है। पवित्र नर्मदा नदी जिले की खूबसूरती में वृद्धि करती है। प्राचीन काल में यहां अनेक वंशों ने शासन किया था। महान वीरांगना रानी दुर्गावती के काल में यह स्थान काफी चर्चित रहा था। यहां पर जाट सरदारों द्वारा 18 वीं शताब्दी में भगवान नरसिंह को समर्पित एक बड़ा मंदिर निर्मित किया गया था। जाटों के खिरवार वंश ने यहां पर कई वर्षों तक शासन किया था, खिरवार वंश ने नरसिंह अवतार को समर्पित दो मंदिरों का निर्माण किया था।

Allahabad also has some great historic monuments like Allahabad Fort, Khusro Bagh, Anand Bhavan, Jawahar Planetarium and All Saints Cathedral. If you like to know about history, culture and traditions then head straight to Allahabad Museum for its rich collection of artifacts. Also Minto Park is a nice place to revive yourself. You can also have a glimpse of modern Allahabad by visiting New Yamuna Bridge. If you have time you can also see places like Swaraj Bhawan, Akshayavat, Hanuman Mandir, Allahabad University and Kumbh Mela(held every 12 years). As soon as I heard that the first phase of the Mahakaleshwar Temple opened its doors to the public, I just knew I had plan a trip to Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
Amongst one out of the 12 Jyotirlingas of the country, The Mahakelshwar Temple is rich in history and stories that dates back to iconic mythological stories of Lord Shiva.
It is said that the Mahakal Lok corridor is supposed to be a 900m long and is known as one of its longest in India. The murals in the temple also have tales to tell about the several deities.
To think this is just a part of this 856 crore temple well it’s surely a class apart and nothing short of a divine and breathtaking experience.
I highly recommend you to plan a trip here to Ujjain soak in the positivity and the magic of the divine’s energy.

How to reach
Gaggal airport is the nearest airport to Triund, located at a distance of only 10 km from nearby Dharamshala. This airport is connected to Delhi through frequent flights.
Kareri lake can be reached either from McleodGanj (51 km from Kareri lake) or Dharamshala (51 km from Kareri lake) as well. From New Delhi, the distance is approximately 490km to Dharamshala. You can take overnight Volvo buses or can hire a taxi direct to Dharamshala.
From Dharamshala, you can hire a local taxi to Ghera village which is 20 km away from Kareri Lake, and from this village, you can start your trek to Kareri Lake
