As a result, it is the ideal destination for those who want to explore this part of the world.
Aqaba
Other than the Dead Sea, the only waterfront in Jordan is found in Aqaba, the nation’s only port city. Aqaba is sometimes called the window onto the Red Sea, and it has long been an important destination for the country. Aqaba has a unique blend of ancient and modern, allowing you to tour the 14th century Aqaba Fort or stay in luxurious, five-star resorts ranked among the best in the world.
Petra
The best place to visit in Jordan, and now one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, is the ancient city of Petra. Also known as the Red City or the Rose City, Petra was once the capital of the Nabataean Kingdom before becoming part of the Roman Empire. The settlement was abandoned and forgotten for centuries by the Western world, but it was rediscovered in the 19th century.
Wadi Rum
In Southern Jordan is Wadi Rum, a desert valley known for its breathtaking scenery. There are no permanent settlements in this secluded desert region, but Bedouins and nomadic tribes do occasionally pass through. Although deserts are often imagined as dunes, Wadi Rum boasts sandstone mountains and towering granite cliffs.
Jerash
When many people think about Roman ruins, they picture destinations in Europe. Jerash, however, is home to an incredible collection of Greco-Roman ruins. Touring Jerash today means being able to see landmarks like Hadrian’s Arch, which dates back to the second century, and the Hippodrome, which has the unique classification of being one of the smallest Roman hippodromes ever constructed.
Al-Karak
If you’re interested in castles, then Al-Karak is definitely worth a visit. The city of Al-Karak, also known as just Karak or Kerak, is located in Southern Jordan. It is known for its significant Christian population as well as its amazing castle. Al-Karak is home to the Citadel of Kerak, which was once a Crusader stronghold. After being ransacked, the castle was left in ruins for nearly 500 years.

JORDAN ROAD TRIP SERIES! | Karak Castle and The Levant Valley: Possible Cradle of Civilization

Subscribe To My Channel for More Videos:

In this Jordan Travel Video, we dive deeper into the amazing sites that you can’t afford to miss on this incredible road trip around Jordan. This leg of our Jordan road trip guide includes a tour of a medieval crusader castle, a history lesson on the levant valley, and some unforgettable experiences you will not want to miss. One of the highlight cities on this trip was Al-Karak. Al-Karak is known for Karak Castle, one of three large medieval castles in the Levant region. The other two are located in Syria. We recently toured Spitz castle in Slovakia, which is known for its magnitude, but Karak gave it a run for its money plus the preserved history made it even more intriguing. You read about the fertile crescent and these other places that are referred to as the Cradle of Civilization, but actually seeing it in person is a surreal travel experience. There is a good chance that the Levant Valley was where farming first began, making it a possible origin for all of human civilization. Watch along as we teach you about the history of this important area and a possible theory for why people started farming in the first place. Not only do we talk about the valley, we actually find an unexpected section next to the road with ancient farming terraces and potentially prehistoric caves, which was a great place to have Jordanian food and snacks. You won’t believe what we found in one of the caves. Tomb Raider is a fun video game and movies will portray it as being cool, but we found out firsthand why it is not cool in real life. We experienced something that was both amazing and haunting at the same time. Something we are sure to never forget, and neither will you. Check out next week’s vlog as we start our series on, possibly the best site in the entire world! PETRA. We had high expectations for this wonder, and it exceeded every one of them. See you there, and always remember to “Find Yourself on the Journey!”

A traveler's ideal gateway to the Middle East is Jordan. The location is safe and welcoming, bringing visitors close to natural beauties and providing them with first-rate hospitality. The Dead Sea is another option where you can unwind after a long day of sightseeing and indulge in some much-needed pampering at one of the numerous opulent beachfront resorts.

Therefore, we'll talk about the top 10 Jordanian tourist destinations in this video.

Subscribe to our channel before continuing to see more content like this.

Number 10. Desert Castles.

The Desert Castles are a collection of archaeological structures located in the Zarqa Governorate, which stretches from Amman to the Saudi Arabian border. Around the beginning of the seventh century, the Umayyads constructed these ancient Islamic structures.

Number 9. Dead Sea.

A must-do activity in Jordan is floating in the Dead Sea. This body of water is situated 418 metres below sea level, making it the lowest spot on Earth that is reachable by a road.

There are a several places from which one can enter the Dead Sea, including Amman Beach.

Number 8. Umm Qais.
Around 110 kilometres (68 miles) to the south of the capital Amman, Umm Qais is frequented by tourists who travel there for the day to see the huge ruins and take in the panoramic views.

Number 7. Aqaba.

You don't think you can go on a beach holiday in the scorching, arid Middle East? Think again. Tourists can enjoy vacations on the stunning Red Sea shoreline in Aqaba, a seaside resort on Jordan's southern edge.

From Aqaba, you can dive, snorkel, swim, or float. On one of the daily cruises that the nearby hotels offer, you can also venture out onto the blue water.

Number 6. Karak castle.

Historically, Kerak Castle served to safeguard the property of crusader kingdoms in the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem, but today, its function is much more routine. There are about 350,000 people living in the city that borders Kerak Castle, which is a lively tourist destination.

Number 5. Ajlon castle.

Visitors who wish to view some of the nicest natural landscapes in all of Jordan should make the drive to Ajloun, which is just 20 kilometres northwest of Jerash. The region is covered in wildflowers in the spring, which provides amazing photo opportunity.

Number 4. Wadi Rum.

One of the most breathtaking vistas on earth may be found in Jordan's southern region, in a place called Wadi Rum. This sandstone and granite rock valley, also known as the Valley of the Moon, is an unearthly experience with towering cliffs, enormous dunes, swirling archways,

You can witness petroglyphs of people and antelopes in the Khazali Canyon, which may date back as far as the eighth century BC, if you ask your tour guide to take you there.

Number 3. Jerash Ruins.

Visiting the ruins at Jerash is the closest approach to time travel there is. It is one of the best-preserved ancient Roman cities in the world and is home to amazing attractions, including temples, colonnaded streets, and a huge sports arena with room for 15,000 spectators.

Hadrian's Arch is the first stop on tourists' viewing tours of the Jerash ruins. When you realise that the about 11-meter-tall structure was previously twice as large, it is astounding.

Number 2. Roman Ruins in Amman.

Fantastic archaeological sites can be found in Jordan without having to travel all the way to Petra. In fact, there are a number of fascinating ruins in Amman, the country's capital (where you'll likely arrive from overseas), several of which are nearby one another.

The Amman Citadel is one of the most well-known ruins, so head downtown to visit it. Around the Citadel, archaeologists have discovered items that indicate it has been inhabited since at least the Bronze Age.

Number 1. Petra.

Be ready to be astounded by Petra. Since the long-lost city was rediscovered by Swiss explorer Jean Louis Burckhardt more than 200 years ago, this attraction, one of the New7Wonders of the World, has astounded visitors in the present day.

To see all the top attractions in and around Petra, which include more than 800 registered sites, you'll need at least two days. If you do, however, have extra time, you won't regret spending it here. It's an experience unlike any other to stroll through a city this old and in such good shape.

This is it for today's video. Make sure to like our video and subscribe to our channel before you leave.
