This video is all about two Landmark Tourist Places of Karad City (कराड) namely PreetiSangam, Naktya ravlyachi Vihir (प्रीतीसंगम, नाकट्या रावळ्याची विहीर).
PREETISANGAM:
Preetisangam is a place where Krishna river and Koyna river meet each other. Both rivers originate from Mahabaleshwar and meet each other at Karad from front. This sangam is very rare in world where two rivers come from front and take a turn and become one river. Pritisangam meaning Confluence of Love.
PREETISANGAM UDYAN:
Preetisangam Udyan is the beautiful Garden nearby Preetisangam Sangam. Yashwantrao Chauhan (First Chief Minister of the State Maharashtra) was cremated in Karad with full state honours on 27 November 1984 and his Samadhi (resting place) is situated in this Udyan.
NAKTYA RAVLYACHI VIHIR:
An ancient Well named Naktya Rawalchi Vihir is located near Krishna river in Karad which shows the well planned construction techniques followed during the ancient times.

Sadashivgad - The Heart of Karad City
Karad is a city in Satara district, and is characterized by huge rainfall and sugarcane production. The forts situated in this region are Sadashivgad, Dategad, Vasantgad, Gunvantgad and Machchindragad. The mountain top is extensive, and half an hour is enough to see the fort. There is a temple of Lord Shiva, in which 20-25 people can stay. This small hill fort is totally ruined by British army post 1857 freedom war. Now we find one water tank and Shiva temple. Every year there is big festival on this fort on occasion of Mahashivratri as per Indian calendar. Easy steps rising from Hazarmachi area of Karad.

Sagareshwar Abhayaranya | Deer Park | Sagareshwar Temple | Best One Day Trip Destination |
Sagareshwar deer park is situated at deorashtre village in sangli district. The sanctuary is located on the banks of Krishna river and at the meeting of three tehsils of sangli district which are palis walava ani kadegaon. It is India's first and Maharashtras only artificial wild life sanctuary. Freedom fighters and nature lover Mr Dhondiram Mohite gave his life to plant trees over here. The government of India awarded him with the Indira priyadarshini award by the president in 1994.
This protected area has area of 10 square kilometers. Sagareshwar deer park is named after a famous lord Shiva temple. This temple is a bunch of nearly about 52 small temples which are all from satvahana period. And the main and big amongst them is sagareshwar temple.
Sagareshwar deer park is blessed by huge amount of rains, the foggy atmosphere, cold breezes, dense forests, water streams flowing from the mountains. 100s of birds and the animals like deers, mooses, chevrotain, reindeers and different types of monkeys. It is specially famous for deers. People say they've seen a wild leopard in the mountains of the sanctuary. One must visit Sagareshwar Sanctuary in monsoons to enjoy mother nature's creativity. Sagareshwar deer park is a treat for all the nature lovers who are looking for a relaxing one day destination away from the city.

किल्ल्यात अप्रतिम अशी पायविहीर आहे. तिला ‘नकट्या रावळाची विहीर’ असे म्हणतात. ती कोटाच्या पश्चिम टोकाला, कोयनेच्या पात्रापासून सुमारे पंच्याहत्तर फूट उंचीवर आहे. विहिरीची लांबी 120 × 90 फूट आहे. विहिरीत उतरण्यासाठी पा-यांच्या चोहो बाजूंनी मार्ग असून वरून बारवेचा आकार सुरेख दिसतो. मुख्य विहीर अकराशे अकरा चौरस मीटरची आहे. तिच्या ईशान्य बाजूचा भाग थोडा गोलाकार दिसतो. एकूण ब्याऐंशी पाय-या असून प्रत्येक वीस पाय-या संपल्यावर मोठी पायरी म्हणजे (Landing) थांबण्याची जागा आढळते. पाय-यांच्या अखेरीस दोन दगडी खांब असून त्यावर सुरेख कमान दिसते. विहिरीचे बांधकाम रेखीव अशा चि-यांचे आहे. ते चुन्यातून घट्ट केले आहे. बांधकामामध्ये ठरावीक अंतरावर खाचा दिसतात. विहीर केंद्रीय पुरातत्त्व खात्याने संरक्षित स्मारक म्हणून ठरवली आहे. विहिरीत खापरी पाटामार्फत (भाजलेल्‍या मातीचा पाईप किंवा पाट) कोयनेचे पाणी सोडले जात असावे. त्यामुळे तिची खोली कोयनेच्या पात्राइतकी असावी. अनेक मजल्यांच्या विहिरीचा उपयोग पाणीपुरवठ्यासाठी किंवा वस्तूंच्या साठ्यासाठी करत असावेत असे सातारा गॅझेटियर म्हणते.

कराड हे सातारा जिल्ह्यातील एक ऐतिहासिक गाव. या ठिकाणी कृष्णा आणि कोयना या दोन नद्यांचा समोरासमोर संगम होत असल्याने यास प्रीतीसंगम अशी ओळख आहे. या ठिकाणी पंताचा कोट हा एक प्राचीन किल्ला असून नदीकाठी कृष्णामाई चे मंदिर व प्रीतीसंगम पार्क मध्ये स्व. यशवंतराव चव्हाण यांची समाधी स्थळ आहे. या किल्ल्याचे आज फारसे काही अवशेष शिल्लक नाहीत मात्र किल्ल्यात एक भव्य आकाराची, नकट्या रावळाची विहीर असे जरा विचित्र नाव असलेली प्राचीन अशी पायऱ्यांची विहीर बघण्यासारखी आहे. या विहीरीकडे प्रीतीसंगम पार्क मधून या पायऱ्या चढून जाता येते.
सध्या पुरातत्व खात्याच्या ताब्यात असलेली ही विहीर एकूण १७२ फुट लांब असून या विहिरीस एकूण ८३ पायऱ्या आहेत. समोरील पायऱ्यांचा भाग हा तीन माजली आणि १३६ फुट लांब असून पाण्याचा भाग ३६ फुट इतका लांब आहे.
ही प्रचंड आकाराची विहीर म्हणजे जमिनीत असलेला प्रचंड तीनमजली वांडाच आहे. दोन्ही बाजूला दिसणारी जी छिद्रांची रांग दिसते त्यामध्ये लाकडी तुळया टाकल्या की छत तयार करून त्यात राहता येत असे किंवा काही साठवून ठेवता येत असे. पाण्याकडील भागाच्या एका कोपऱ्यात मोटीची जागा सुद्धा होती.
विहिरीच्या वरील भागात काही दगडी अवशेष दिसतात, त्यावरून या विहिरीवर सुद्धा वर एखादी इमारत असावी असे वाटते.
