10 Africa Countries with the Best Quality Roads 2023

10 Africa Countries with the Best Quality Roads 2023.

Top 10 African Countries with the Best Quality Roads. Welcome to Afro Page and thanks for watching. In today’s video, we shall be counting down the top 10 African countries with the best quality roads. One of the essential factors for economic growth is domestic and international transportation, thus, road infrastructure needs to be maintained and updated regularly. when it comes to ranking countries by their road networks, African countries lag way behind. This is surprising considering the fact that a chunk of the budgetary allocations in many African countries are centered on road development, yet very little can be shown for it. The Global Competitive Report Index is charged with the ranking of roads worldwide to set aside the best from the worst. In ranking the countries, the Global Competitive Report index tracks the performance of approximately 140 countries on 12 pillars of competitiveness, including the quality of road infrastructure development, maintenance and urban-rural balance. In the recent ranking by the Global Competitive Report Index, United Arab, Singapore, and Switzerland, emerged with the best road in the world with scores of 6.2 each, while Mauritania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Haiti, emerged with the worst roads with score of 2.1.

THREE NIGHTS ABOARD AFRICA'S WILD TAZARA RAILWAY! (Zambia to Tanzania First Class train review)

$30 for an 1800 km train trip is too expensive! - said no one ever.

The TAZARA Railway connects Kapiri Mposhi, Zambia to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania - a journey that spans 1800 km (1100 miles!) of East African savannah. For this epic railway journey, I purchased a First Class Sleeper ticket for $35 USD and braced myself for one of the most raw experiences of my life. Let's just say First Class in North America and Europe is not quite First Class in Africa.

Though the trip was arduous, I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! I travelled for two days and three nights across the African landscape, enjoying the views, beers, and culture along the way. AMAZING EXPERIENCE and one of life's greatest travel bargains! If you ever have a chance to go, DO IT! This is one of Africa's greatest railway journeys.

I will follow-up this video with a Q&A that will cover everything you need to know before you take this same journey! Please check out my channel for that video! If you have any questions about the journey, please COMMENT or DM me on Instagram!

Zambia | Road to Samfya (Ndola to Samfya via Mansa)

A total of 323 KM from door to door that takes you through another east African country so be prepared - get your transit visit/permit.

4th June 2021 I departed Ndola at 05.29 am for Samfya on a Powertools bus. I wanted to enjoy the shores of the beautiful Lake Bangweulu. Whilst purchasing the ticket I forgot to ask what route the bus was taking but I few hours into the journey I realized why this is an important question.

There are two routes from Ndola to Samfya - one leverages road networks within Zambia but is longer and the other goes through DRC but its shorter. On this episode I will showing the activities on the Zambian going from Ndola to Samfya via Mansa

Bounce points for all who can guess what song I was singing too and what interesting site that can be found along the Zambian expressway.
