Jirang Monastery is 85 Km from Berhampur City and 20 Km from Gajapti town.

INCREDIBLE ODISHA EP-3 | NILAMADHABA TEMPLE KANTILO NAYAGARH |
Sri Nilamadhava Temple is very old and famous Lord Vishnu temple which is near to the bank of Mahanadi, in Kantilo, Odisha, India. It is present near to the twin hills with a surrounding forest. A permanent flow of holy water from the feet of Lord Nilamadhava is another attraction of the spot. Lord Siddheswar is also present which is another highlight of the place.
Lord Nilamadhav occupies a central position in the cult of Lord Jagannath. Even now also Lord Nilamadhava shrine is present on the right side of Lakshmi temple in Puri Jagannath Temple.
Location:
Kantilo is situated near the river bank of Mahanadi which comes in a block called Khandapada, in Nayagarh District. Nearest railway station is Nayagarh Town and nearest airport is Bhubaneswar. It is advisable that if you are planning to come by train its better get down at Bhubaneswar station because from there you will get frequent buses to Kantilo. Roads are connected to Kantilo which offer regular bus services. It is 82 km from state capital Bhubaneswar and 33 km from Nayagarh District.

Sri Nilamadhava Temple (Odia: ନୀଳମାଧବଜିଉ ମନ୍ଦିର, କଣ୍ଟିଲୋ) is very old and famous Lord Vishnu temple which is near to the bank of Mahanadi, in Kantilo, Odisha, India. It is present near to the twin hills with a surrounding forest. A permanent flow of holy water from the feet of Lord Nilamadhava is another attraction of the spot. Lord Siddheswar is also present which is another highlight of the place.
It all initiated in a small cave in the Brahmadri hills situated on the banks of Mahanadi, which is known as Kantilo of Nayagarh district today. Here, Biswabasu the local Sabara Chief worshipped Kitung, as the God was known in the Sabara dialect. According to the Puranas, the deity was originally worshipped in the form of an Indranila gem image known as “Nilamadhava. The daru murti came much later.Located near the confluence of three rivers Mahanadi, Kuanria and Kusumi. The temple structure is like the Jagannath temple of Puri. It stands on the right bank of Mahanadi. It is called triveni sangam of Odisha. As there is Beni-Madhava in Prayag, so as here Nilamadhava.

The Kuanria Dam is located on the outskirts of Daspalla ,Nayagarh. It is built across the River Kuanria, which is a tributary of the Mahanadi. The basic motive of constructing this dam was to help in the irrigation of the farmlands.
The dam is just 7 km away from Daspalla and situated near to Odasar village in Nayagarh. It’s the largest dam of Nayagarh. Similijhara Waterfall in Nayagarh District Odisha The Ultimate picnic Destination of Nayagarh
Similijhara water Fall is one of the beautiful natural picnic spot in Odisha in Nayagarh district. You can visit this natural waterfall from November to March. The Road is very clean and good road to that place. You can visit the place from Ranapur Jagannath temple or from Nayagarh Town.
Raj-Ranpur, Odisha 752026 From this place the Panikhia Waterfall(Simili), Nayagarh, Odisha 752080 Similijhara water fall is 37 k.m via new jagannath sadak. In this root you have to choose the road left side from Ranapur town towards Godipada, then turn left towards simili village. From similivillage choose left road towards the hill area. the road is good. there is turns, so drive slow. after that you will reach your ultimate destination Similijhara waterfall.
Panikhia Waterfall(Simili), Nayagarh, Odisha 752080 similijhara water fall is in google map, so you can search also and it is nearer to Ladu Baba temple also.
When you climb to the mountain place take care, because the place is very slippy. I have seen 3 travelers has been slipped in front of me. So climb carefully and don't go near the water. There is more chances of slip.
For Picnic and Photography the place is very beautiful. For cooking take your cooking items from Naygarh or ranapur market, as there is only some small shops available. November to March is better to visits, because in summer season less water comes.
In December there is many tourists available. There is vast area for picnic.
