இராமநாதபுரம் மாவட்டம், கமுதி தேர்வுநிலை பேருராட்சி குண்டாறு கரையில் அமைந்துள்ளது. மொத்தப் பரப்பளவு 5.10 ச.கி.மீ ஆகும், இப்பேருராட்சி 15 வார்டுகள் மற்றும் 101 தெருக்களை உள்ளடக்கியது. பேருராட்சி மொத்த மக்கள் தொகை 14754, பக்கத்து கிராமங்கள் மற்றும் நகரங்களில் இருந்து வந்து செல்லும் மக்கள் தொகை 4000 ஆகும். இப்பேருராட்சியில் தேசியமயமாக்கப்பட்ட வங்கிகள், அஞ்சலகம், காவல்நிலையம், நுலகம் மற்றும் பேருந்து நிலையம் ஆகியவை அடங்கியுள்ளன. இங்கு ஓரு அரசு மருத்துவமனையும் 10 பள்ளிகளும் உள்ளன. இப்பேருராட்சியில் செவ்வாய் கிழமை மட்டும் செயல்படும் வாரச்சந்தை ஓன்று உள்ளது. இப்பே%ராட்சியில் 75 அடிபம்புகளும், 26 சின்டெக்ஸ்களும், 42 பொது குழாய்களும் உள்ளன. ஓரு நபருக்கு ஓரு நாளைக்கு 73 லிட்டர் தண்ணீர் சப்ளை செய்யப்படுகிறது.

Uthirakosamangai Temple is also known as Mangalanatha Swamy Temple and it is located in Ramanathapuram District of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the most ancient Shiva temples. It comes under the Ramanathapuram Samasthanam Devasthanam and the Sethupathi Maharaja family is the hereditary trustee. This temple is believed to be the native of Lord Shiva and the place where the world’s first Natarajar appeared. This temple is worshipped by all the Rishis, sages and Siddhars of the world. The temple was built even before the appearance of the Navagrahas. The temple dates back to four eras. The temple was built by a thousand Shiva servants who attained Moksha at the same time.

தாஜ்மகால் உலக அதிசயங்களுள் ஒன்று. தமிழகத்திலும் தாஜ்மகாலை நிகர்த்த கலை அம்சங்களுடன் காட்சியளிக்கிறது கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டம் திருவிதாங்கோட்டுக்கு அருகில் அமைந்துள்ள தக்கலை ஷேக் பீர் முகம்மது ஒலியுல்லா தர்கா. மாஷா அல்லாஹ் இதனை தமிழகத்தின் தாஜ்மகால் என்றே சொல்லலாம்.
கேரள மாநிலம் திருவனந்தபுரம் இதன் அருகிலுள்ள விமான நிலையம். அங்கிருந்து சுமார் 35 கி.மீ. தொலைவில் தமிழக தென்மேற்கு எல்லைப் பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ளது இந்த தக்கலை எனும் அழகிய ஊர். இந்த ஊரில் உள்ள மக்காபாளையம் பகுதியில்தான் அமைந்திருக்கிறது இந்த தர்ஹா. இந்தியாவின் வடபகுதியில் இருந்து வருபவர்கள் கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டத்தின் தலைநகரான நாகர்கோவில் வரை ரயிலில் வந்து அங்கிருந்து நகரப்பேருந்திலோ வாடகை மகிழ்வுந்திலோ தக்கலையை அடையலாம். நாகர்கோவில் வடசேரி பேருந்து நிலையத்திலிருந்து களியக்காவிளை, மார்த்தாண்டம் போன்ற ஊர்தளுக்குச் செல்லும் பேருந்துகளில் ஏறி தக்கலையில் இறங்கிக் கொள்ளலாம். தக்கலை பேருந்து நிலையத்திலிருந்து அரை கி.மீ. தூரத்தில் உள்ள பீர்முகம்மது அப்பா தர்காவிற்கு நடந்தோ ஆட்டோவிலோ செல்லலாம். ஆட்டோ கட்டணம் 50 ரூபாய்.
ஞான மாமேதை தக்கலை ஷேக் பீர் முகம்மது அப்பா அவர்கள் தென்காசியில் பிறந்து கேரள மாநிலம் இடுக்கி மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள யானைமலையின் உயர்ந்த சிகரங்களில் பல ஆண்டுகள் இறைவனை தியானம் செய்து அதன்பின் தக்கலையில் வந்து தங்கியுள்ளார். தமிழில் 18000க்கும் மேற்பட்ட ஞானப் பாடல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார். ஞானப் பாடல்கள், ஞானரத்தினக் குறவஞ்சி உள்ளிட்ட அவரது நூல்கள் தமிழ் மொழிக்குக் கிடைத்திருக்கும் அரிய பொக்கிஷங்கள் என்றே சொல்லலாம்.
