Hiking 243 Sungai Ara Hill VIEW |via| {*Orchard Ville Condo PATH *}
Hiking to 541 Rest Stop via Orchard Ville condominium path, Lengkok Kelicap, Bayan Lepas. Unfornately, it was became history now. There is a viewing area at No. 243 spot. The Paya Terubong, Penang Bridge & Pulau Jerejak are visible. This is a great exercise path for hikers or cyclists. Approximately 60-75mins to reach the destination.

Kedai Kopi Siang Tatt, Sungai Ara - Delicious Lor Mee & Famous Char Koay Kak
Kedai Kopi Siang Tatt 祥达咖啡室 is one of the coffee shops located just next to the bustle of the early morning market at Sungai Ara. This coffee shop is serving breakfast and finishes as early as 11:30 am. The lor mee (braised noodles) that is sold at this shop is one of the well-established brands that have been selling for more than 25 years for 2 generations. The taste of the flavorful starch and the aromatic of the five spices are very nice and yummy. The chicken feet are so well marinated and the texture is bouncy and juicy. This is the stall to visit for those who love braised chicken feet.
Besides the lor mee, the char koay kak here is also very famous and fast selling. All the koay kak finished even before 11 am. The koay kak is packed with a wok aroma as well as packed with a touch of appetizing from the chai por (pickle reddish). These 2 stalls are not to be missed if you visit Siang Tatt Coffee Shop.

街角糖水小站 Jie Jiao used to sell desserts and also nasi lemak at Perak Road, is now moved to He Fa Cafe 和发咖啡室 at Sungai Ara, now Jie Jiao is concentrating on selling nasi lemak only. Serving with nostalgic flavor and insisting on the freshness of the food, this is the principle of Jie Jiao prepreparing the food. Besides this new stall in He Fa Cafe, the rest of the stalls like Roast flavor, Asian fried, and surprise noodles (every day different noodles need to check out the signboard on the wall) are also available here.

Car parking is limited so need a bit of luck finding one. Please don't park in front of a pak cik house ya.

I saw some videos of people using a small access left of the gate which requires to climb down abit and up again to the other side. As this is a private property - I'm not too sure about access to this waterfall in the future. Maybe they might be stricter come durian season. Please update me if access is not granted by owner anymore.

Being a born and bred Penang unker, I thought it would be fun if the narration be spoken in Penang Hokkien which has a mixture of hokkien, english and malay. It has a unique blend and tone but is sadly going kaput soon. Although my hokkien is campur-campur and not pure (hor ee khee), I hope that this video will contribute to the collection of Penang hokkien videos on Youtube and I will try to make more in the future.
