Kalyazin is a town in Tver region, Russia. In 1940, the monastery and most of the old town were flooded during the construction of the Uglich Hydroelectric Station, which created the Uglich Reservoir. After that, the town was effectively relocated to a new, higher spot.

Краткие итоги:
????встретили два сочных заката и один рассвет
????️ночевали на берегу моря
????посетили Дмитров, Калязин, Углич, Мышкин, Рыбинск, Тутаев, Ярославль, Ростов
????️восемь раз пересекли Волгу, один раз на паромной переправе
????дважды застряли, один раз вызывали трактор
Технические детали:
????Пропуска. Мы оформляли в приложении «Стоп коронавирус» разовый пропуск на территории Ярославской области, для поездки в личных целях из Москвы в Рыбинск, действует 24 часа, можно оформить два в неделю. Были в Московской, Тверской, Ярославской, Владимирской областях, ни одного существенного поста или контроля я не видел, нас никто не останавливал

????️♂️Как люди ведут себя в регионах по отношению к москвичам - лично я разницы не заметил, в магазины заходят в масках, работают в масках, но страха заразиться я не ощутил

????Питание – в Ярославле открыто много кафе с работой «на вынос». В маленьких городах такие варианты нужно искать, спрашивать у местных где сейчас продают горячее или где есть микроволновка

????Туалеты – только на заправках, в городе все закрыты

????Гостиницы – до 16 июня гостиницы «законсервированы», мы жили на природе

????Музеи, парки – закрыты, но погулять в целом есть где. Прогулка в таком режиме занимает около часа, в Ярославле – два

????️Дороги – хорошие дороги от Москвы до Ярославля, от Тутаева до Рыбинска, в Московской области. Все остальные дороги – 5 км нормальной дороги, 3 км плохой дороги, 2 км ям по колено

⛴️Паромная переправа в Мышкине, ходит каждый час, из Мышкина в 13-00, 14-00 и т.д., в Мышкин в 13-30, 14-30 и т.д. Есть еще в Тутаеве. Для моей машины паром стоит 430 рублей в одну сторону

⌛️Расстояния. Любая дорога – 1 час, Калязин – Углич, Углич – Рыбинск, Рыбинск – Тутаев, Тутаев – Ярославль, Ярославль – Ростов, Ростов – Переславль-Залесский, или Ярославль – Кострома, Кострома – Плес, все расположено примерно в часе, в 40-60 км друг от друга

????️На Волге в 10 км к западу от Калязина в 1 км к югу от Устинского моста (пл.192км), в яндекс-картах место обозначено как пляж
????На Волге, 10 км не доезжая Мышкина, после деревни Палкино поворот направо в сторону газопроводных сооружений
????️У устья реки Ухра, в яндекс-картах около поселка Крестцы обозначен пляж, но дорога через болото, если поедете - в Крестцах есть трактор
????️У Рыбинска хорошо остановиться на дамбе Рыбинской ГЭС

Калязин — небольшой старинный городок, раскинувшийся на правом берегу Волги. Согласно древним летописям, история этого города уходит корнями еще в 12 век. Весь исторический центр вот уже почти 80 лет находится под водой после заполнения Угличского водохранилища. Вода затопила многочисленные объекты храмовой архитектуры. Прямо в волжские воды обреченно уходят остатки улиц, лишь спустившись ближе к кромке воды осознаешь, что это не город подошел к реке – это сама река уже давно плещется над городом. Если быть уж совсем точным, то его местоположение в 180 километрах от Москвы, на берегу Волги, там, где в нее впадает река Жабня.
Калязин называют русской Атлантидой. В нем действительно есть, на что посмотреть и чем заняться. Вашему вниманию самые главные достопримечательности Калязина.
Колокольня Никольского собора (07:07)
это символ и самая узнаваемая достопримечательность города Калязин, расположенная на рукотворном острове посреди Угличского водохранилища. Ведет к ней путь из булыжников, называющийся «дорогой в никуда». Построена колокольня в 1800 г. Крестьянам, возводившим звонницу, было сказано: сделаете плохо, будете перестраивать за свой счет. И мужики постарались, соорудив 70-метровую красавицу-колокольню.
В 1935 году началось строительство Угличской ГЭС, и вся историческая часть города оказалась под водой. На поверхности осталось только 50 метров звонницы. Она не подверглась разрушению из-за крутого поворота, что в этом месте делает Волга. Благодаря этому обстоятельству колокольня осталась в качестве ориентира для проходящих судов.
С колокольней связана легенда о том, что звон упавшего в ее подножие колокола был слышен даже под водой перед большими событиями в истории страны. В частности, в 1941 году перед началом войны. Потом долгие годы люди на лодках подплывали к ней, чтобы узнать свою судьбу. Так продолжалось пока вокруг колокольни не сделали насыпь, заставив этим колокол замолчать навек.
Улица Карла Маркса (бывшая Московская) (03:10) – одна из древних и центральных улиц Калязина, которая частично сохранилась после затопления исторической части города.
Улица Ленина (бывшая Тверская) (05:12), переходящая в улицу Волжская, наиболее близко расположенная улица к реке Волге, так же улица Ленина одна из самых древних улиц города Калязина, на ней сохранилось наибольшее количество построек времён Калязина до затопления.
Калязинский пассажирский причал (08:29)
Годом образования пристани Калязин считается 1854 год. В этот год пароходное общество Самолет образовало пристань в Калязине как организацию со своим штатом работников.
Жизнь города Калязина всегда была тесно связана с р.Волгой. Особенно возросло транспортное значение р.Волги и Калязина после переноса столицы в г.Петербург. Скудная северная земля не могла прокормить столичный регион, поэтому по Вышневолоцкой водной системе всю весну и лето шли караваны судов, везущие хлеб из низовых губерний. Выше Рыбинска р.Волга в межень была практически несудоходна, поэтому и в Калязине и в других городах между Рыбинском и Калязином шла перевалка грузов на плоскодонки, на которых и везли грузы в Петербург.

Rostov: Esta ciudad también es pertenece al Anillo de Oro y es una de las ciudades más antiguas del país. Aquí se encuentra el lago Nero; la edad del lago está estimada en alrededor de quinientos mil años, lo que lo convierte en uno de los pocos lagos preglaciales del centro de Rusia.

Районный центр в Тверской области. Наглядная иллюстрация того, как важно сохранять памятники культуры. Когда для города и страны в целом наступили тяжелые времена, культурное наследие могло бы помочь людям выжить.
Но в 1939-1940 годах исторический центр города был уничтожен ради строительства Угличской ГЭС. Это решение дало кратковременную выгоду, но убило туристический потенциал города.
Tourist train Sochi on the abandoned railway Uglich - Kalyazin
In the spring of 2021, Russian Railways launched a tourist train on the route Moscow - Veliky Novgorod - Uglich - Moscow. We went to the low-traffic Uglich-Kalyazin railway to take a picture of it.
The railway Kalyazin - Uglich is inactive. A commuter train passes there daily, as well as a local freight train every two days. Once a week there is a night passenger train Moscow - Rybinsk (and back).
The tourist train became the first long passenger train in the history of this line (more than 10 cars), so taking a picture of it in this place is a matter of honor for any railway fan.
In addition to the tourist train, we caught two freight trains and a commuter train on the Savelovo - Sonkovo railway, where Kalyazin is located with a branch line to Uglich. Diesel locomotives 2TE116, 2TE116U and DM62 work here - you will see all this in my video.
