Kallithea, is a popular tourist town and resort that is located in the Halkidiki region of Greece. The resort of Kallithea, is also regarded as one of the most cosmopolitan towns within the Kassandra area.
Beaches:
Kallithea, is certainly a resort that is known for its lovely beaches. The long stretches of white sands and crystal clear turquoise waters, is a large attraction for many. As well as the beautiful beaches, Kallithea also has the attraction of having a range of open-air bars and nightclubs such as the Angels Club, where you can enjoy a drink and party til the early hours.
Hotels:
As you can imagine, as with most popular tourist destinations, there are several hotels to choose from. Hotels range from basic hotels, through to the more luxury 5 star hotelsclose to the beach. All the hotels cater for all needs, requirements and budgets.
Temple of Ammon Zeus:
The ruins were actually first discovered in 1968 when a hotel in the area was being built. However the ruins are believed to date back to as late as the 4th Century BC and are now a popular attraction in the town of Kallithea.

The closest major International Airport, that services Kallithea, is Thessaloniki Airport (SKG).
Thessaloniki Airport is approximately 50 miles (80 kilometers) from the resort of Kallithea.
The journey time from the airport to Kalithea is approximately 50-60 minutes, depending on traffic.

However, visiting Mount Athos is not so easy as neither children nor women are allowed to enter, and you must obtain a permit to enter for which you have to apply six months in advance.
This is Potidea Canal. It is 1,250-metre long and 40 m wide. It sounds unbelievable but it was built sometime between the 4th and 2nd century BC. More than 2000 years ago, it increased the local trade and economic development thanks to significant reduction of travel time.
When it comes to beaches, we recommend the long idyllic turquoise water Pefkohori beach. Thanks to calm waters and a number of facilities, it is also a popular place for families with children.
If you are looking for a paradise, then the dramatic Kalamitsi white-sandy beach is a place for you. Surrounded by impressive rock formations, this crystal-clear water beach is well organized with sunbeds as well as umbrellas. Did you know that Halkidiki is also famous for its olives? These large green olives have an oval shape and are grown and harvested by hand while they are still young. They are often called “ donkey olives “ because of their large size.
